Light-filled apartment with spacious bedroom and walk-in closet in the heart of Amsterdam. Living room opens up onto the large balcony with complete privacy. Fully furnished kitchen and all amenities provided.
Our light-filled apartment is super close to the very centre of Amsterdam, in a vibrant, local and outgoing neighbourhood. The apartment faces south so you will have sun on the balcony until the late evening.
Cafés, Westerpark, restaurants, bars, supermarkets bakeries and butchers are just a short (3 min) walk away.
Right next to Westerpark (the more local alternative to Vondelpark) which has a heap of restaurants, cafés and bars. There are often events hosted there every weekend too. The apartment is also located next to the Jordaan, which takes about 15 minutes by foot and 5 minutes by tram.
- Tram stop less than a minute away. 10 minute ride to the centre (e.g. Leidesplein, Museumplein) and 5 minutes to the Jordaan. You can also have a very easy tram connection to Dam Square and the red light district.
-Bus stop less than a minute away. There is a direct (10 min) connection to central station.
We have carefully furnished our apartment with vintage pieces and items purchased whilst travelling. So we also ask that you take care.
We want it to be your home away from home. So you won't find a generic holiday rental and instead an authentic Dutch apartment with an unique taste.
Our spacious bedroom has a large bed (a proper/high quality mattress 160x200cm), French balcony and is adjoined by a walk-in closet.
***We also have a very large couch which easily sleeps one other guest.****
The kitchen area opens up to a large balcony that overlooks many trees and has no direct neighbours. So there is plenty of privacy and no noise. Our kitchen has everything you need (oven, dishwasher, food processor, Nespresso machine). Overall, it's a great apartment for a couple (or a young group of 3) looking for a stay in a hip area of Amsterdam.
We also have a heating system and double glazed windows for a good nights sleep.
Our bathroom is a bit cosy (we won't lie) though you won't spend much time in there anyway :)

Weitere wichtige Infos
We'd like to let you know that our bathroom is quite small, especially for those who are not so used to the smaller living spaces in European capitals. Though our hot water never runs out, so you’re welcome to shower as long as you desire :) Also, the apartment is on the 3rd floor, which is great, because it's very light, but if walking stairs is hard for you, this might not be ideal.
Please treat our home as you would want your own to be treated. We welcome you to use anything in our apartment and make yourself as comfortable as possible. As we are on the third floor, please keep the noise level in the staircase to a minimum if it is late at night.
You can't smoke inside, but we have a spacious balcony adjacent to the living room for all your smoking needs :)
I've been a long-time Airbnb renter, who has had some fantastic experiences with hosts. I feel that it's now time to return the favour by hosting my own apartment and creating an awesome rental experience for others.
I'm a keen traveller who lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I've previously lived in Brisbane, Australia and I'm originally from Bern, Switzerland. I love nothing more than visiting different cities all around the world, in order to gain a better understanding of how differently all of us humans live :)
