We are a young(ish), fun couple from California living in Nicaragua. We live in a big beautiful colonial home with our three young boys and our weimaraner.
We both love to travel and see new places, experience new cultures and live outside of our comfort zones. Which is what brought us here 3 years ago.
In 2013, we packed up and left the US of A for a year abroad in Nicaragua. We were 6 months pregnant at the time with boy #3 and decided what we needed was a change of scenery and something different. The plan was for a year but after a few months we fell in love with Nicaragua. So, we opened a small tapas bar called Bocadillos and started into the restaurant business. Shortly after that, we bought another restaurant called Nectar and proceeded to make it our own.
Most recently, we took over an antiquated mansion in the colonial town of Granada and have been putting in sweat equity to bring it back to its glory. We rent out a few of the rooms on Airbnb to help with the costs and also to meet new people and share what we love about this country.
We love to cook and entertain, so owning two restaurants and a small B and B is perfect for us.
That's our story, we hope you book your trip to Nicaragua and can stay with us so we can hear yours!
