thank you for taking your time to write us a review. Although, I accept with open mind criticism from my clients and guests, it is necessary I publicly reply to your review, because there are some aspects which I believe are untrue and unfair.
1)Pictures: Federica and I took all the pictures ourselves; we both use our mobile cameras (iPhone) and we did not use filters or any sort of system to modify them. Infact, the apartment looks exactly as it is on the pictures (see other guests reviews below).
2)Toaster: It was perfectly working when I left my apartment in September, Federica send me an email to let me know you complained about it. I gave her some instructions in order to make it work and I know she passed it to you. Please not that in the listings, I never ticked or mentioned that I provide a toaster. So, I think, your complain is unreasonable here.
3)You said you wasn't able to cook. May I ask why, because my kitchen is a fully very well-equipped kitchen (I love cooking and eating) and I even offer spices and herbs from around the globe, full cutlery, plates, good pots and pans, tea and oils… Normally you as a guest have to arrange grocery yourself.
4)Boiler broke for unforeseen circumstances and you called FEDERICA on Sunday night who was able to answer your call and assist you in the matter. The engineer visit was arranged for the following day and the problem was solved on the same day.
5)check-in time: As you know we can welcome guests from 3pm onwards and Federica was able to welcome you at that particular time (she messaged you on the Airbnb platform). Our cleaner who is always on time had a very urgent inconvenience on your check in day so she was not able to come earlier to clean the apartment. So, our communication was: "we can give you access to the property at check-in time but the apartment will be fully clean and ready by 5pm. You agreed with us that 5pm was a good time for you. To be honest we are all humans and things can happen, but we informed you in advanced and also made it happen to serve you and your father the best way. Still remember it is not a hotel and people like to have a more personal and unpolished stay, therefore they chose Airbnb!
As per Airbnb policy if someone is booking for someone else, you must say it on the first approach to the host. It wasn't you staying at the accommodation but your dad. We were not aware of that until Federica opened the door for you, but we did not follow the protocol and welcome your dad without any sort of complain. Further in the listing we say that the apartment is not made for children, disabled or elderly people.
Federica left a good review for you and she feels sad about your own review which affect not just my own profile and listing but also her profile and hers Airbnb platform.
We always try to make our best to accommodate our guests although this is not an hotel but a private house.
