There is an air-conditioner in the bottom part of one of the two windows (in summer). Off of this bedroom is the full bathroom with shower and bathtub and alcove with additional full-length mirrors. This room is flooded with morning sunlight.
At the front of the apartment is a black metal spiral staircase which leads to the second bedroom also with very high ceilings. The all-white bedroom has a queen size bed, marble fireplace (non-functional), color coordinated books, two side lamps, small side table and ceiling fan.
Enjoy the totally private garden for romantic meals or a glass of wine after all of your site seeing!
Visit the famous Brooklyn Flea a few blocks away, the Olmsted designed park at the end of the block (with jogging paths, playgrounds, tennis courts), or the bustling Farmer's Market on the edge of the park. The neighborhood is filled with interesting restaurants, bars and shops. I grew up in Chicago and lived in Paris and New York City for 10 years and I can tell you this is my favorite neighborhood, anywhere. Ever!
Near all major subway lines (12 different subways!) and only 20 minutes to busy downtown Manhattan, one stop away on the Q train. Walking distance to other great Brooklyn neighborhoods such as Park Slope, restaurant row in Cobble Hill and Prospect Heights, Pratt Institute, the mansions of Clinton Hill, the urban grit of Vinegar Hill and DUMBO or walk to Barclay's Center to enjoy and concert or game.
Brooklyn at its very best.
Check-in is after 3 pm, with some flexibility depending on owner's schedule.
Check-out is 12 noon. Cleaning fee of $100 is mandatory.
No smoking inside the apartment (enjoy the outside private garden!).
If you break something - or something breaks - please let us know. It's nice for the next guest to have everything in working order, and we're not happy to find surprises... Thanks!
We live in a residential neighborhood. We ask that you respect our neighbors and the peacefulness of our block by limiting use of the garden after 9 pm and before 8 am. The sound of voices and music carries across Brooklyn backyards.
