A Victorian house with three listed rooms, situated in a quiet lane with lovely rural views, a few minutes’ walk from the quayside – on booking check the directions and be prepared for narrow Cornish roads! Calstock has two pubs, a cafe and good transport links - guests are encouraged to meet the locals and support the economy by eating out - sorry no kitchen access. Calstock is a lovely place to chill, enjoy the valley and a slower pace of life, also well placed for exploring the area.
The room is light and spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. There is a radio and a kettle for hot drinks. The room has tea and coffee making facilities, a radio and wall TV. There is a bathroom opposite and separate toilet for the use of all our guests. Another single and double room are also available and listed separately.
Zugang für Gäste
Guest will have the use of the lovely garden with seating areas, including a deck taking in full views of the valley and across to the Devon bank of the River Tamar. The guest rooms are situated on the middle floor, meals are taken in the downstairs dining room or, weather permitting, outside. We are generally available to help, or chat if you wish, however the sitting room, kitchen and third floor are private spaces and not for the use of guests.
Interaktion mit Gästen
We love our area and would be very happy to help guests in planning their stay - there is an active community so you may want to join us in with local events or be introduced to the wider area. On the other hand, having travelled widely ourselves, we understand you may want to just do your own thing!
Weitere wichtige Infos
Calstock is an active community with everything from the August Bike Show to the Jazz and Blues Festival in October! We will endeavour to let you know about any particular events coming up. A self-service breakfast, of good quality local and homemade fare, is included in your booking fee. A Cornish cooked breakfast can be booked in advance at an additional cost - prices in the house manual.
We would like you to treat our home as if you were staying at the house of a friend - one that you would like to be asked back to! We have one well socialised dog and welcome other well behaved dogs. We would not wish you to smoke in the house or eat in the room
