Best neighborhood in New Orleans, Faubourg St. John is a treasure undiscovered by the majority of tourists, a slice of real New Orleans charm. It is our favorite neighborhood in our favorite city. In close proximity to City Park, the Fairgrounds, and the French Quarter, our Mid-city home is very comfortable and will put you close to everything in the city.
Our place is an ideal location for Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, and the Superbowl.
We are a young couple. The house is new yet has that vintage charm. It is new, well furnished, clean, comfortable, and secure. We will be proud and happy to assist you in every way as you discover or return to the Big Easy. Easy, secure off street parking, cable tv, high-speed wifi. Staying here will put you in the neighborhood of New Orleans cemeteries, City Park, Bayou St. John (a great place for kayaking and picnics), and Magnolia bridge (beautiful panorama), and on the streetcar line, which takes you straight to the quarter in 5 minutes.
This authentic and elegant N'awlins Home has modern, comfortable furnishings, wide screen tv, sonos sound system, a comfortable "Havana room" bedroom in art deco style (comes with complementary welcome daiquiri), with the most comfortable mattress that $ can buy, a full bath, and a lovely, verdant outdoor area for sipping wine amid the roses, fountain, and Christmas lights or for grilling, etc. Make yourself at home. Mi casa, tu casa.
Keep in mind that the bathroom is shared for this listing as are the other common areas outside the room.

Given our proximity to the Fairgrounds, we do ask that you rent the entire weekend if you are staying for Jazz Fest. We can offer the balcony when others are not staying in that room.
Access to the two Bikes is first come first (re)serve, so be sure and let us know the day(s) you would like to use them. They are free with the room, or I can rent them to you on spinlister separately. If ours are already taken by another guest, I can help find you an alternate ride on spinlister inexpensively with a neighbor.
Access to balcony always is available for Master bedroom and whole house rental. For the other listings, you are more than welcome to use the balcony during the day and evenings. Just let us know.

I am an English and French professor at the local university, but have lived all over the world. My wife is Cuban. I speak fluent French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian, so feel free to communicate with me in any of those languages. Our daughter is rather young, so speaks her own language. We love to travel, eat well, and have a good time. We love our city of New Orleans where you are welcome!
