The parlor room is a big, sunny room in beautiful 1903 craftsman home. Queen bed, private bath with full tub & shower. Relax on the back deck, walk to Lake Washington, downtown and Capitol Hill. Cooking, laundry, gardens, cafes, shops, easy commute.
Greetings. We live in a beautiful craftsman home (1903) that sits on a hill surrounded by fruit trees and gardens on the edge of Seattle's Central District. The room is fully furnished with a queen bed, large dresser, shelving, a desk and a regal vintage walnut wardrobe with closets, a full length mirror and room to store suitcases on top.The bathroom features a full 6 foot cast iron bathtub, shower, subway tiles, shelving, vintage and modern fixtures and a vintage stained glass window to enjoy while bathing.
The neighborhood is a 10 to 20 minute walk to Capitol Hill, Downtown and the International District. We are close to major bus lines, highways, ferry terminals and travel routes in and out of Seattle. In spite of this our neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. There are cafe's, restaurants, brew pubs, bars, a movie theater, pot shop, bike shop and more all mere blocks away.

We are two professionals who share the upstairs. The parlour room is on the first floor and has a private bath. We are happy to share our kitchen, deck and yard space with you. It's fun to see people enjoy Seattle and we are happy to share advice on sight seeing, great restaurants, venues and entertainment. It is possible you might not see us at all but if you do, we are very respectful of boundaries and space. If you are staying for an extended period of time, we are open to sharing a meal or helping you plan your day trip.

The Parlour Room does not have a television but do you really need one in one of the most beautiful, exciting cities on the planet? In full disclosure, our kitchen does not have a microwave.
Cat alert: We have a domestic, short-haired mackerel-tabbycat! Her name is Lucille and she mostly lounges outside and comes in at night.
No smoking please with the exception of water bongs.
We like travelers with common sense and consideration.
The rest tends to sort itself out...
I am a musician, artist and Designer. I love to travel and when I travel I like to feel "at home" as if I lived in the city I am visiting. I split my time between Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington.
1) Good friends
2) Travel, hiking in the mountains
3) Fresh, local food & good wine
4) A sense of adventure
5) Music, art and culture
Vicci, my housemate, and I enjoy meeting other travelers. I love exploring other cultures and hearing people's stories! I have studied permaculture and design and work to implement these traditions into my surroundings. I enjoy having people stay at the house and I've made friends from all over the world. Some of them have become life long friends!
I value sustainable practices and enjoy the art of recycled materials in design. We have incorporated some beautiful found pieces into the house like large pieces of driftwood, copper for the stairs and vintage fixtures for the bathrooms such as a claw foot tub, a large porcelain sink and stained glass window.
We enjoy sharing the great city of Seattle and on occasion we share meals and stories with our guests. The house is located in the Central District which is a short walk to downtown and many interesting areas in between. Local shops, an independent movie theatre and many bars and restaurants are blocks away.
