Unfortunately this group utilized several extremely high-pressure tactics begging us to let them extend their stay unexpectedly (though ACL weekend, conveniently).
We were first told they were in the hospital (a manipulative lie), and later that their work project would be destroyed if we did not let them extend their stay.
We worked to accommodate them as much as possible, personally connecting them with another Airbnb host who would work within their budget & other requirements on short notice. We also granted a generously late check-out time.
Their insistence and refusal to take "no" for an answer - phone calls, texts, Airbnb messages - put my husband and I in an incredibly uncomfortable situation, and we anticipated they would leave a negative review in retaliation - our first negative review to an otherwise *flawless* listing.
I'm saddened our interaction with these guests was not representative of the greater Airbnb community: a network of loving and respectful humans helping one another.
