Natalie's place was a perfect way to experience the city over New Year's. It was far enough out of the city to not be in the crazy Manhattan hustle and bustle, but close enough that it isn't a pain to get there. Greenpoint is a fun little area with lots of fun stuff to do.. lots of bars and restaurants. The only down-fall is that the subway station is a bit of a walk, especially in the cold, but it's not horrible. And when we didn't want to walk to the train, an Uber was always near by.
The apartment itself was very cute, quiet, and comfortable. It is on the 3rd floor so you do have to walk up stairs. It actually felt big for what I am used to as far as NYC spaces. Very artsy. The bed was super comfortable. She left us Stumptown coffe (yum!) and some wine. Super nice. The shower stays hot even when you're taking one right after someone else. There was netflix, apple tv, and wifi. We felt like we were natives for the week.
The best part is the roof view. Up the next flight of stairs you can go out on the roof and see the entire skyline of Manhattan because you are right on the river. Coolest thing ever. We braved the cold to have a glass of wine up there just to stare at it.
Overall, perfectly happy with our stay. Natalie was incredibly helpful, responsive, and nice. She had the keys UPS-ed to us so we had them before we even got there. She was in communication with us the entire time, making sure everything was okay. Will definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.
