This is a two story mother-in-law unit.
Short distance up the covered stair case to the private entry. Get organized by using the boot/shoe storage, store your equipment in a small closet. All tile flooring through to the bathroom. New stack-able washer/dryer, and a two person seating are also in the entry.
Main bathroom located at main entry has had some improvements done recently. New shower head, toilet, and tile flooring. The bathroom will offer privacy for the group with the use of a pocket door for the toilet and shower area.
First bedroom just off the entry and over the garage offers a nice suite away from the group. King size bed, flat screen TV, a non-fold out corner couch, large clothes closet. Newly added an electric fireplace along with force heating should make it comfortable.
Walk up the carpet stairs to the upper level to windows all around and high ceiling.
Eating, Living area will accommodate 4-people comfortably. Flat screen, stereo are easy to view from table to seating area.
Kitchen is stalked with cooking utensils, dishwasher, garbage disposer, coffee maker, selection of spices, salt & pepper, small container cooking oil. All electric appliances. Forced heating.
Second bedroom just off the kitchen with NO TV has its own heating control which is radiant floor heating. When kept no more than 60 degrees it is comfortable setting.
In the landing above the main room is used as a work area with a desk. No electricity access.
Out side private patio deck with a gas barbecue. The deck is kept clean. Like all out side decks can be slippery.
Snow removal is provided, but on heavy snow storms there maybe some time length for clearing. In general though the snow removal company that is used has never really slowed us down to getting to the fresh powder.
Parking is very limited in the winter only off street parking. The rental includes a reserved parking stall that will accommodate a medium size vehicle. Reserved guest parking is located in a one car open space to the right of the two garage doors. There is a limited time parking used for brief guest parking. No over night parking unless set up prior to arrival booking.
This home is located off the busy traffic streets, and in a neighborhood with low street traffic. Owners use the garage and are very cautious of constant use, since a sleeping area is located above.
Guest will have access to a hiking trail right out the front door. The hiking trail will start at the back of the property. The start is steep, but short until you get to the fire road above. Head up the hill and experience the view of the valley, Squaw Creek Resort, and the Squaw Valley Ski Area.
There is a loop that is about 2-miles long. This hike will offer a great view of Granite Chief. You can snow shoe or hike.

Owners will be available most of the time.
We normally do not bother the guest(s) and respect their space.
We like to meet/greet guest(s), show them items in the unit, and give a key to the front door. Communications will be text/email.
A good recommendation for a nice place to unwind is, "The River Grill". Located in Tahoe City across from Save Mart. We like going there Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday for their all night happy hour. Sit at the bar and have a good conversation with Steve. He knows where all the good skiing is, a long time local.

Owners do use the upper level throughout the year. Owners will be on the property at check-in and check-out.
Snow shoveling will be kept up for the stairs and deck.
Owners do have a lab dog that remains at the upper level.
Owners do try and make the noise level very low, but encourages the guests to notify them if not being kept low.
We are looking for guest that would like a quite place to rest after a day of activities.
The unit is located in a quite residential neighborhood and the noise level should be lower to the very low no later than 11:00am.
No additional occupants other than the "Approved Guest #". If there is a request for an additional guest it has to be cleared with the owner prior to Booking. Additional guest(s) over the 4-people max. will be subject to an additional fee of $50.00 per guest per night.
No smoking in the unit, outside only.
Please do not block the garage doors, it must remain clear at all times for the owners to enter & exit.
Any additional guest vehicle must be cleared through owner prior to Booking. Winter parking is very limited.
Approved guest must park in the reserved one car parking stall. Located to the right of the garage.
Trash should be removed prior to over flowing. Trash can located in the brown steel container to the side of the garage. Easy to see.
When checking out all food in refrigerator to be removed, towels in a pile in the bathroom. Please always leave the unit in a clean orderly manor.
Cleaners are scheduled for check out cleaning in the AM.

The Bauer family members are avid skiers & bike riders and have enjoyed coming to Olympic Valley since purchasing our first home on Tiger Tail in 1978.
In 2000 we moved up the street to a larger home with a garage. The best thing about the home is the location. We like to start our morning off with an early morning 2-mile scenic hike loop just out the back door. Then off to playing in the outdoors.
The home is used to relax and get our thoughts together after a long hard week work.
We are looking for tenants who enjoy the outdoors and are looking for a place to relax and take in the lifestyle that the Valley has to offer.
