This apartment is located at the Electra Building, the old BC Hydro company building from 1957. Renovated and adapted to residential in 1995 it retains the modernistic charm of the '50s. It was Vancouver’s first skyscraper, then the first commercial building to be designated heritage.

– Supermarket one block away, open to midnight.
Things some guests don't like as much:
– The building has no parking. You can park nearby for around $20 per day.
– The blinds don't cut the morning light completely.
– Although this apartment is surprisingly quiet for a downtown location, you'll hear the occasional emergency car siren.

Please note that I only hand keys to the person who booked the reservation and you must show valid picture ID.
Guests must follow the strata bylaws and regulations. You will be asked to sign a Form K (a demand from the building's management), stating you will comply with these bylaws:
No smoking anywhere in the apartment or building, or up to 6 meters from the building's front door.
No drinking alcohol in the common areas of the building.
Respect the laundry room hours (8am to 11pm).
No noise in the lobby, elevators, or hallways.
And these are my own little rules:
No unregistered overnight guests.
No more than 6 people in the apartment at any given moment.
Please remove your shoes when entering the unit (as Canadians do).
Please, avoid removing make-up on the towels. There are Kleenex, cotton pads and cotton swabs provided for that purpose.
Although I don't charge a safety deposit, I trust you to reimburse me in case of any incident (stains, broken glasses, lost keys, etc).
