The room has a queen Comfortaire mattress that has dual adjustable firmness control. The room includes a night stand, chest, and TV with cable. The ensuite bathroom is used only by you, and has a shower. There is a tankless gas water heater that provides endless hot water. WIFI is included. If you wish to stay more than 27 days, a formal lease and security deposit is required. There is space for one (1) vehicle, and your space is one out of three on the parking pad in the rear of the house. All other vehicles must be parked off site as the other spaces are reserved.

Aside from the room and bathroom, the common area kitchen and living room is available on a first come or shared basis. There is coffee available in the kitchen. While the areas are for use 24 hours, please keep the common room quiet and TV turned down between 11 pm - 8 am. There is a Washer and Dryer in the garage. Please note that it is a front loading washer, which is more efficient (1/3 water use) than the stand up type. Thus, you will only need to use 1/3 of the detergent that stand up washers call for.

I travel extensively so may not be here when you arrive. When I am gone, I have my friend, Liana, acts as the Airbnb manager in my stead.

The location is less than a half mile from Citadel Mall, and approximately 6 miles from the start of downtown. (Downtown is approximately 1 mile east to west and 2 miles north to south). A cat frequents the outside, but is never allowed inside, as I have a slight allergy to cats. There may be other guests in the house during your stay, and I do Airbnb my room when out town. Liana serves as the Airbnb Manager when I am traveling and will be in charge of making sure your room is in working order.
There is one parking space per booking in the rear of the house. The other spaces are reserved. Additional vehicles will have to park off site. Please park so that two other vehicles can park on the pad. Quiet hours are 11 pm - 8 am. While the room is more isolated than the common areas, please keep the sound down, so as not to disturb others. If you use any of the facilities, such as the kitchen, please place dishes in dishwasher and clean after yourself. If you use the washer and dryer, please clean the lint trap in the dryer, and please provide your own detergent & dryer sheets. Any clogged toilets or pipes are your responsibility. Sorry, no smoking inside, and no pets. We regret that the house is not set up to accommodate infants or children at this time. We will retain items left behind by guests for 15 days, but will notify guests of the existence of such items only if they appear to be of significant value. If guests wish to have items left behind returned to them, they may do so by notifying us. After 15 days, any items left behind will be discarded.

Hello! Charleston has become a top destination with its rich history, food, and culture and I love the fact that I can share my home with others who want to experience all that my city has to offer. My goal is to provide a comfortable, clean, and pleasurable place to stay. I take pride in having a top notch Airbnb. I have traveled other Airbnbs and realize that a 5-star rating in one home does not mean the same in another - in other words how does one separate a 5 star room that is close to a rail road, is bare bones, and the temperature is kept hot vs. one that has a private bathroom, is quiet, feels almost like a hotel room, and comfortable? The only way I have found is to comb through the reviews and ultimately see the place yourself.
I have spent nights in each room to consider how to improve, and that is why you will find that I didn't go cheap - guests regularly ask for my mattress name so they can buy one, and many say the home is more comfortable than theirs.
While this is my home, I travel extensively for both work and pleasure, so may not be there. When I am away, you are always welcome to call, and there is a property manager who lives nearby who can answer questions and concerns. As for me, I love to travel, kayak, swim, hike, and converse. I tend to let guests choose if they want to talk, but enjoy a good discussion and getting to know people. I look forward to serving you!
