Relax on one of two large covered porch/outdoor living areas including a hanging daybed, overlooking lofty Black Mountain Range. Spectacular unobstructed panaramic views! Stone wood burning fire place, 1930's gas cook stove, romantic claw footed tub. True mountain experience!

Der Wohnraum

This charming cabin offers a unique and memorable mountain home stay. The kitchen lures one to explore their culinary skills with a 1936 gas cook stove, Hoosier cabinet, and vintage sink in wormy wood chestnut cabinet. Everything to set your table "Country Living"style. Meals can be served on the large rustic table constructed with repurposed antique barn wood on the main floor covered porch. A true outdoor living space with a gas grill, ceiling fans, loungers and one of the finest views in Western NC.
Also on the main level is the "Master Bedroom" with a king sized bed and comfy linens to insure a pleasant nights sleep. Take a long soak in the vintage claw foot bath tub in the "Bath of Romance" complete with a chandelier. Ou-la-la!
The comfortable furnishings in the dining/living area beckon you to cozy up to the stone wood burning fire place, relax with a good book or enjoy television .
A spiral stair case leads to the lower level and the family room. Perfect for the kids, games and a second tv area.
Speaking of kids, "The Bunk House" western themed bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, vintage toys, games, etc to entertain little Cowboys and Cowgirls!
Also on the lower level is my favorite room besides the porches, "The Pink Room" is furnished with an antique full size double iron bed, mosquito netting ( just because it looks cool!) and antique furnishings with a vintage crystal chandiler. Double french doors opening onto the downstairs porch and once again, that view! My favorite room to catch the afternoon breeze, view and of course a nap!
The bathroom on this level has a shower. Laundry room with washer and dryer.
There is an out door stone fire pit for "Cowboy Cookouts", fire side chats and story telling under the stars!

Elaine's cabin is more than we were expecting!! It was spacious, comfy, homey, & the views (especially sunsets) were spectacular!! My daughter & I stayed here for her last fall break at UT Knoxville, & we found her cabin to be super close to Asheville for shopping & exploring, & perfectly close to many choices for hiking. Elaine responded quickly to all emails...responding within an hour every time! I hope to bring the rest of our family to her cabin in the spring!

This cabin was fantastic! It has a very cabin-y which was exactly what we were looking for. The porch has amazing views of the mountains and is the perfect place to just hang out and relax. We really loved our stay and I am hoping to come back sometime!

Had an awesome ladies weekend up in the mountains! It was so perfect! Loved the cabin and hopefully can visit again one day! It was so welcoming! We loved the antique decor! The view was stunning! The only downside was the beds were uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. But worked fine for a weekend getaway. It wouldn't deter me from staying here.

It's a beautiful setting and cabin! The view is stunning; we spent hours every morning drinking coffee - watching the Hummingbirds and Cardinals. Secluded and quiet! Don't miss the driveway!

My new happy place is sitting on the back porch looking at that view! Beautiful location, plenty of space, very comfortable and fun to cook in the vintage kitchen. We went to the Farmers Market in Burnsville and got all sorts of goodies. Then we made a beautiful dinner to sit on the back porch and enjoy. The driveway is steep but the view is vast. Thanks Elaine!

I love to travel, baby my pomerian Lula, cook and host parties, vintage cars, junk stores, decorate and stage homes. I'm a new member of the Zipper Club (open heart surgery). My current obsession is my vintage 1968 Silver Streak Camper affectionately named "Madame Demples"! Coming to Airbnb soon!
