Great host, with a very clean rooms and bathroom. The Japanese flair really adds to the comfort and the deli around the corner is really convenient.

Joanna was a great host with a cozy and beautiful house. The kitchenette was very convenient for preparing your own food. The neighborhood is nice but a bit far from the city center, overall the place is definitely great for staying!

Joanna and Yoshi are wonderful hosts. They are very kind, helpful and open-minded people, who integrate their guests in their activities (if the guest wishes so). I was given a warm welcome and felt comfortable from the beginning on. The house is very beautiful and unique, you have everything that you need and the room is big and cozy. The two girls who also live there, and Joanna's mother are also very nice and open people who made me feel comfortable and welcome (and the cat of course). It takes approximately 30 minutes to get to the city center by train and you can also go there by bus. Once you are familiar with the public transport system (Joanna and Yoshi can help you) it is quite uncomplicated to get around and the train/bus stations and supermarkets are only a few walking minutes away from the house. I definitely recommend this place to you if you are planning to stay in Warsaw. I extended my stay and my boyfriend and I will be back during our next long weekend for sure :)

The room was very comfortable and (URL HIDDEN) was very clean and sophisticated. The location of the house was totally in a residential area which made our stay very calm and pleasant. The host family was very friendly.Since ours stay there was during Easter, they involved us in their Easter celebration which was a totally new experience.Even though it is a bit away from the city, there are a lot of travel options to reach the city.We had a memorable stay in Warsaw with the family :)

I had a really pleasant stay at Joannas house. Perfectly to relax. Nice to come "home". Joannas is a beautiful character, kind, really patient and helpful. A perfect host. The room was so comfortable and the house is just a little oasis. I would like to stay there again whenever I come back to Warsaw. Thanks. All the best!

Joanna has raised hospitality to an art form to rival the legacies of the ancient masters, combining the best of the Polish and Japanese traditions of honouring the guest and making them feel welcome. Every accommodation is made to comfort and convenience, with the delightfully appointed room positioned in an annex on the second floor, affording privacy without seclusion. Separate cooking and storage facilities are provided so that one can live at one's own pace without the disruptions of sharing a kitchen. The room and the house in general are decorated in a tasteful blend of the European and the Japanese; the tatami mat nestles next to hardwood floors, divided only by a shoji door, the pianoforte verticale relieved by sleek lacquerware of black and vermillion. Radość, the area in which the house is located, translates into English as 'joy', which is an apt description of the impression left by a stay of any duration. The neighbourhood bristles with pine trees and might appear on first impression to be located in a mythic woodland, rather than a suburb of Warsaw, for the nearby tramlines, which offer ready transport into the heart of the city, are so muffled by the the forest that the deepest countryside could scarcely offer a more complete and tranquil seclusion. Warsaw is a city which breathes free from the constrictions which bind up so many continental capitals, with ample concessions given over to green spaces and ornamentation. Consequently, the transportation network is fast and efficient, often with direct routes between the major attractions and the suburbs. From Radość, a single bus ride takes one to the Palace of Culture and Science and the central train station; the nexus of travel within the city and the rest of Poland. The Polish have a saying: 'Gość w dom - Bóg w dom', or as it might be put in English 'God enters with a guest'. It is a philosophy well demonstrated by Joanna's insuperable approach to hospitality. There is no finer way to enjoy Warsaw than from the gorgeous splendour of the Blur Room.
