Casa Nezahualcoyotl (Neza), a model of modern Mexican architecture, is named after a Chichimec poet king. As you cross the threshold, walking over the Zen pond you are welcomed by the serenity of a tropical oasis. Palm trees surround the oversized 12’ x 36’ pool crowned by a 10 person Jacuzzi (slightly heated)the sound of whose waterfall calms your spirit. Open the glass front sliding doors that unite the private exterior garden with the interior space, enter and find yourself in a large open living area with Bali themed bamboo furniture. The great room also features a teak dining set and a fully equipped kitchen. Natural, locally-cut limestone floors and Caribbean style louvered doors made of Tzalam emanate an atmosphere of luxury. The bedroom terrace winds around the upper floor overlooking the Marina. There are original paintings and artwork throughout the house. The third floor roof terrace offers spectacular views of the Bay of Cancun, the Caribbean Sea, and the magnificent tropical sun sets.
There are two bedrooms on the second level, each with ensuite bathroom, the master with a canopied queen bed, and the second bedroom with a king or two singles. Attractive and functional louvered shutters open from both rooms onto a balcony overlooking the pool and jacuzzi below. On the main level, there is a sofa bed for two more guests. There is also a full bathroom on this level and a half bath on the rooftop terrace. All bathrooms are ultra-modern design, with onyx sinks (master bathroom has double sinks). Air-conditioning and ceiling fans are throughout the house.
The living room provides plenty of comfortable seating for conversation or entertainment via cable TV, stereo, and DVD. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped if you wish to practice your culinary skills.
