Christine went above and beyond in making us feel welcome in her home. As first time Airbnb-ers as well as first time visitors to the island of Bonaire, her gracious hospitality was greatly appreciated. Weeks before we arrived, she reached out to provide a run down of the island and helped us arrange for a truck for the week. She also sent an incredibly comprehensive welcome packet, full of great recommendations and discounts, details about the condo and instructions for using all the appliances, as well as practical information for getting around for the island.
The condo itself was exactly as represented, with one exception: the views are even more spectacular in person. There is no telling how many hours I logged on that patio in between dives! Other than breakfast we ate most of our meals out (the food in Bonaire is too good not to!) but the condo's kitchen is fully stocked and easy to navigate for those wanting to prepare their own meals at home.
Being right next door to Dive Friends was incredibly convenient, and by staying at Reefs Edge we were able to get 20% off on dives and air. You do hear the dive shop opening up in the morning, but being that this is Bonaire and not your typical sleep-in-late kind of vacation destination, we were usually already awake most mornings.
On the opposite side of the condo, also within walking distance, was Te Amo beach and its resident food truck, Kite City, where we ate many of our lunches and enjoyed one incredible 3 course dinner on the beach.
We would definitely recommend Reefs Edge Bonaire to anyone traveling to Bonaire and hope to be back ourselves sometime in the future.
