A nice place for views and close to the centre.

This is a spacious apartment, very well located for exploring Machynlleth and the surrounding area. It is a short walk from the railway station, and there are shops, cafes and a supermarket nearby. The apartment mostly has everything you might need, though the kitchen is only partially equipped: it’s missing some essential cooking essentials such as a sieve and chopping board, and I could find only one wine glass, even though the flat sleeps three! This place is run by a letting agency and it doesn’t have the ‘lived-in’ feel of someone’s home. There were some problems communicating with the agency – owing to the way their airbnb account is set up I wasn’t able to email them or send a message through the airbnb website. However, whenever I phoned the office they were always very helpful. I was also given the wrong entry code for the front door and couldn’t get in when I arrived. However, Iain, the owner, phoned me back within half an hour (after 9pm) and gave me the right code.

The flat was nice and cozy. Exactly what we needed as we were looking for a place to sleep and shower while visiting family during the day. Bed was comfortable. Only concerns were other occupants were inconsiderate of the 11:00pm quiet time. Location was perfect and close to everything locally. Would consider this place again if we come back to Mach in the future.

Loved being able to stay right in the centre of Mach, with our own kitchen. Very helpful information, very easy to access. And warm over a cold weekend. Will definitely be using again.

What an entirely gorgeous studio, in an entirely charming town. I feel as if I won the lottery chancing across Machynlleth, and couldn't have been located in a better place from which to enjoy it. There are almost as many bookstores as pubs, all of which were very easy to get lost in for a few hours. The Skinners Arms next door is a perfect place to start and I enjoyed a couple of meals at the White Lion down the road. The countryside is marvellous, rolling hills and forests, creeks and waterfalls, all feeling a million miles away, but well posted so not much chance of getting lost. Iain and Lounge Holidays were fabulous hosts, with everything set up to make it easy to settle in and enjoy. I sincerely hope to make my way back in the future.

Thank you for the feedback. And I too was most unhappy! BAD that you had me running around like an idiot providing a desk as a special request. I don't mind but no thanks from your side. BAD that you had me running around again, when you asked for a different mattress (which we replaced) when there was nothing wrong with the original & new mattress. We cant cater for specific preferences, e.g. heavy weight guest. BAD that you knocked the shelf of the wall in the bathroom. BAD that you blocked the loo with something. BAD that you left an very unreasonable mess for the cleaners to deal with. Sink full of washing up, lots for food rubbish, glasses and bottles in the bedroom. Enough said after all the great reviews we have had from past guest!!
