(Not for driving hire - max 3 nights)
Self-catering & available Sun to Thur nights. Please bring your own sleeping bags. Our Campervan, sleeping up to 5 people, is parked in front of our house with access to shared kitchen/shower/toilet in the Outhouse. Tig Lammax is located 6km from the town of Macroom in Co Cork, in a lightly populated rural area, close to The Gearagh Nature Reserve, a popular walking area and Gougane Barra National Park. See tiglammax com website for more information.
The Campervan has a high level, curtained, fixed king-size bed, a small double bed and a single bed in the lounge area of the van, so we can accommodate up to 5 people (a family or VERY good friends!). Guests have the use of a shared sitting room with satellite TV in the house. Broadband internet access is restricted due to limited satellite broadband but is available in the cottage.
The house sits on 3/4 acre of land mainly laid to grass though we have big plans to develop into a real garden. There is parking for two guest cars (we also have a guest bedroom in the cottage). The house is a converted cottage with two upstairs bedrooms (one for guests), a large sitting room downstairs with an open fireplace for guest use, and a kitchen/dining room/family room.
We are ideally situated for travellers between Cork City & Killarney being only half an hour by car to Gougane Barra, 50 mins to Killarney and 40 mins to Cork City.
Campervan & Pod guests (see separate listing) have access to a kitchen/shower/toilet in the Outhouse but continental breakfast is also available in the cottage at an extra charge of €4 per person.
The accommodation is more suitable for guests travelling by car due to it's rural location. However, we welcome walkers and cyclists and can collect from Macroom, which is well served by buses from Cork, Killarney, Tralee etc, for an extra €8 round trip.
Zugang für Gäste
Access to the campervan is available from 6pm to 11am May through August.
The cottage sitting room is for the shared use of guests, though, as it is the passageway from the family room to the bedrooms, it is not exclusive. There is satellite TV in the sitting room as well as a piano (for the musical).
Guests are welcome to cook their meals in the shared guest kitchen or join us for an evening meal for €7 a head by arrangement.
We have a washing machine (€2 per use) & dryer (€2 per use) which guests may make use of.
