Warm and cosy single storey detached barn conversion in the grounds of 18th century, Grade 2 listed former Mill. Set in peaceful West Devon countryside this beautiful, self catering cottage, sleeping 2 is the perfect rural hideaway, yet central for exploring. There are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, wonderful walks and an amazing range of bird life right outside your window.
Beautifully converted from a former shippon, Miller's Rest, is a comfortable holiday home, ideal for a relaxing break.
Unlike a traditional B and B, when you have to vacate the premises after breakfast, the entire cottage and all its facilities are yours to use, and come and go as you please, for the entire length of your stay.
The open plan living-room has a reclining sofa so you can put your feet up and watch TV, a DVD or listen to the radio or some CDs, a well designed kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave and dining area with table and chairs. We must point out however that there is no wi fi available in the cottage. If this is important to you, there are several coffee shops in Tavistock where you can use it.
The spacious bedroom has a super-king sized bed and wonderful views out to the gardens and Brentor church beyond. The shower room has a WC and wash basin as well as a walk in shower.
Electric heaters in both the rooms should the evenings be chilly and there is parking right outside the front door so is ideal for people with limited mobility. There is a BBQ and outdoor furniture in the pretty, private cottage garden.

The tiny hamlet of Quither is found on the edge of Dartmoor with about 10 dwellings. There are gorgeous views from the private garden of the cosy little single-storey cottage, located at the bottom of a little lane (bumpy in places) with the owner's house, a former mill, across the gravelled yard.
The nearby town of Tavistock is only a 10 minute drive away and boasts an award winning Pannier Market which has something different each day of the week and is a treasure trove of local art and crafts as well as practical bits and bobs. Tavistock has a host of indepenant shops and an array of cafes, pubs and restaurants not to mention a small theatre/cinema.
Millers Rest has its own private garden with a table and chairs for eating alfresco but you are welcome to enjoy the garden at large with its wonderful views.
