This studio is perfectly situated, great base for your visit of Paris! From one to 2 people, it offers the ideal comfort, tranquility in the heart of Le Marais with its restaurants, cafes, art galleries.. Live like a Parisian from day 1 in Paris.
This cute, comfortable and romantic apartment is located in the attic on a 4th floor of a beautiful 18th century building with a courtyard secured with a digicode and gate, however, it is typically at the Marais district that there is no lift. Apartment's exposure is south (very bright) and it faces a courtyard with a view over Paris roofs.
The apartment has 2 rooms (not 2 bedrooms) that make 20 m2, it is considered to be a standard size for Parisian's apartments but it can be quite small but on the other hand, it is very calm and quiet.
1st room: when you enter there is a separate and open kitchen with a big window overlooking the roofs of Paris. It is equipped with everything one needs to cook. Facing the entry off the kitchen is a small tiled bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet.
2nd room: the main space has two skylights and has one double bed and one sofa bed (140 wide) that opens up for 2 more people but let me know in advance if you need to come more than 2 people , but when the sofa is unfolded the space becomes smaller on the floor space.

If you are 3 or 4 (maximum) I would like to stress that the space is very small! In the same room there is a double bed and a sofa that unfolds unto the floor once it is open there isn't much room left, but it is in the best neighborhood of Paris!
please give me your personal email address as you will receive long email with the information and instructions of how to get the keys. Communicate with me asap on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN).
The apartment is 19 rue de Poitou between rue Vieille du Temple and rue Saintonge The nearest Subway stations are on line 8 the purple one (Balard/Creteil) : metro Filles du Calvaire and metro Sebastien
Rue de Bretagne has a good restaurant: chez Omar. and a great market ask for it, it is in an alley off Bretagne called " Marche des enfants rouges" you can eat lunch there for cheap and great food! among all the vendors.
I also like in the evening the bars, cafes and places around the "carreau du temple" take Charlot cross Bretagne and it's 3 minutes going North.
There is a good restaurant across the street corner Poitou/Charlot called "chez Nenesse" the place looks very casual but incredible food.(very known by the local people so pass by earlier to reserve or take their card and call them)
I suggest an historic visit of the Marais going towards the Ile Saint Louis with Notre Dame and the Seine River.
Rue des Francs Bourgeois (great shopping) Place des Vosges, Rue Royale, and all the tiny streets around Museum Picasso: make a right on Rue Vieille du Temple(many galleries) and go behind the garden of the Picasso Museum. then walk around get a bit lost the get in the direction of Place des Vosges. from there go towards the river Seine, the district Saint Paul. Loads of antique shops around the church Saint Paul there also or take a long walk (20mn at the most) taking rue Rambuteau passing the Georges Pompidou Center Museum great places and neighborhood around it! towards les Halles and the church Saint Eustache, the heart of Paris: Many great restaurants, I also recommend "Le pied de Cochon" (very nice and Parisian and famous, great seafood not very cheap but great! on rue de Turbigo very near rue Montorgueil pass the church Saint Eustache before you get to rue du Louvre.
I also like the "ile de la cite " where Notre Dame is and I recommend a small cruise on the Seine with les vedettes du Pont Neuf at Pont Neuf.(13 Euros each)
Don't hesitate to email me or call me for any questions, or call me in New york from the house phone in Paris or, I really appreciate communication and let me know by leaving a review after your stay.
Have a wonderful stay in Paris!
Please be respectful of the other residents of the building. Keep the noise down a much as possible The reason I have to say this and I apologize about it Is because lately the neighbor on the 3rd floor right under the apt. is really annoying me and sends me emails of complains of noise in the staircase and above him. If he talks to you (which I doubt) please tell him you are my friends and avoid talking to him. I really appreciate your understanding.
I have lived 40 years on and off in the Big Apple (from the French Alps and Paris). I love New York! I will help you love it too. I wear a smile and I have the New York energy and rhythm in me. I am blessed to live across from Central Park, where I start and finish the day, walking with my dog and see the seasons change, sometimes my guests join me on hidden path and great views.
I am forever curious. I love to see new places and traveled twice around the world.
I paint, do yoga, friends, jazz clubs and opera, I bicycle. I have a small cabin in the woods Upstate 2 hours North of NYC where I escape the roaring city sometimes and breath in the mountains.
Now I understand well your thirst for discovery. I enjoy receiving people, sharing stories, I communicate easily and keep a sense of humor.
See you soon.
