Beverly and Todd are amazing hosts! Gracious, generous, fun and friendly. I felt welcome immediately upon arrival. Their home along the creek is absolutely gorgeous and very peaceful. In the evening, we enjoyed wine and spirited conversation by the fire. It was a lovely experience and certainly a highlight of my travels. It was so beautiful and relaxing, it was hard to leave. I would definitely stay again if the road brings me thru.

This is my second visit to Salida in the last month or so, and I have stayed with Bev both times. We had snacks and coffee waiting for us in our rooms. This is the sweetest and most accommodating couple. No complaints, at all!

When we travel without our trailer, my challenge is to find lodging that is under $65 a night. Yes, they are still available. We've stayed in rooms behind restaurants, in a former Brothel in Cripple Creek, that had the squeakiest floors and mattress ever, hostel in Costa Rica, a hotel that was being renovated and just had completed a couple of rooms. We Airbnb'ed in Juneau, Alaska and loved it. The list goes on forever.
The Van's have tent camped, open air camped and had travel trailers. My dream was to have an Airstream. After a long search, we purchased our dream vintage Airstream trailer 3 years ago. The mauve interior and fake wood floor had to go! It has been lovingly restored. Check out the yellow marmoleum floors and red recycled leather sofa.
Our second dream purchase was a log home in the Rocky Mountains in an aspen grove next to the Little Fork of the South Arkansas River.
We are so excited to be able to share our Airstream on a little slice of heaven we call home.
Please come and enjoy an evening by the fire, listen to the rushing water and relax.
As a nod to my $65 a night lodging quest, you will find a few $65 a night specials.
The Airstream will be available from May 15 to September 3.

My life motto is "There have only been a few times in my life that money, time and opportunity are synchronized. Seize those moments and go for it."
