Conveniently located between the east and northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park. You will have the lower half of the house to yourself with your own entrance to come and go as you please. Late check-ins are fine, we leave the door unlocked and the light on! Feel free to come and go. We are also happy to provide information about the area. This is a place to relax and be waited on. No kitchen or laundry facilities available for guests. Lots of food items in your room as well.
You are welcome to use the space anyway you see fit. We have wi-fi and places to sit and work inside and out. The local scenery is beautiful without going anywhere, but we are ideally located for Yellowstone Park, Red Lodge MT, The Big Horns, and The Beartooths. It is a daylight basement with french doors and windows so doesn't feel like a basement.
There is a small fridge and microwave in your room. Help yourself to bottled water and feel free to store perishables there. If you have a need for another bed, there is one set up in the office downstairs and you are welcome to use it, no charge. Again, our kitchen and laundry room are upstairs and not available for guests. You do have a fridge, Nesspresso coffeepot, and microwave in your room. There will be fruit, yogurt, and other food items downstairs as well.

Basement and outside property. If you stay more than 2 nights, I am happy to do a load of wash for you. You can request a hot breakfast between 7:00 and 9:00. Otherwise there are continental breakfast items available in your room and you can eat whenever you'd like. We were offering hot breakfasts every morning but many guests would just like to grab something and be on their way.

Sharon works out of the home and is available most of the time. Jerry works for the Game and Fish and is especially good at giving fishermen the heads up as to where the fish are biting and information regarding little known hiking trails to really get to see wildlife and this beautiful country. We leave it up to the guests on how much we interact. Most of our guests pick our place for the privacy and we respect that. We don't care what time you arrive but if it's after 8:00 it's a good chance you won't see us till morning. Our dogs are very friendly and will be around so if you're not a dog lover, this probably isn't the place for you.

Our dogs stay where we are but are outside a lot so you will have contact with them. As you can tell by the reviews, they haven't been a problem but it is something to consider before booking. There is a "white noise" machine on the headboard. Please feel free to use it. You CAN'T watch cable TV but we do get a few local channels off an antenna and you can use our amazon account on the blu-ray player, or your account on netflix. There are also a lot of DVD's you are welcome to watch. There are sports bars in Powell and Cody for watching sports. We use white noise when we go to bed so don't worry about being quiet. Feel free to watch tv, take in some nightlife in Cody, or whatever, we won't hear you.
If you wouldn't do it in your own house, please don't do it in ours. We trust that most travelers just want a relaxing and peaceful place to stay and we can provide that probably much better than a hotel.
Smoking allowed outside only and please don't leave butts where our dogs can get them.
We don't care if you have a party, just be sure and invite us.

I am a retired social worker and now work from home and for our church. My husband and I love the outdoors and skijor with our Siberian Huskies, which we also raise. If you'll take a minute when you first arrive and let them "sniff you" they will be less annoying later on. It's their job to check out who comes to our house and they take it very seriously lol! We want you to enjoy your stay with us and please let us know if you need anything! Also, look forward to a hot breakfast included with your stay. To describe myself in one word it would be flexible. We raised a lot of kids and now we raise dogs and we've learned to be very flexible and relaxed. Hope you are the same!
