Our stay at Jeffrey's was our best one yet. Our stay was about 6 months, and we would have kept extending (which we did three times LOL) if we didn't have to move to Denver for my husband's next travel nurse assignment. We have stayed at many places over the past two years and this was our best experience. Jeffrey and his dogs were such great, respectful company. Living in his house was such a wonderful experience. We have been gone a week and I miss it so much.
Our room was spectacular and so comfortable. We had everything one could need, plus some. Having everything but an actual stove/oven in our room, we would have been self sufficenint in our upstairs room. Sharing the kitchen was NEVER problem. We loved going down and catching Jeffrey, or another guest to greet and made some friends that way. The views from Jeffrey's kitchen were pretty breathtaking as well. Just a bonus. He has every gadget you could need. It's also nice having your own mini fridge in your room and there is pantry area outside your door to store your groceries. Iwould actually consider it a medium fridge because not exactly mini. It also has a freezer which was nice. The bed was comfortable, the private bathroom space was big and clean, and there was a nice little lounge area when you first walked in to the room. A lot of closet space was a bonus. We really felt at home while staying which we feel is what we are looking for.
The Silverlake area is pretty spectacular. There are mulptiple grocery stores in walking distance, as well as bars, shops, restaurants and of course, the Silverlake LAKE. It's about 3 miles around and a great walk. Some pretty amazing views of the mountains as well. Silverlake is north of Echo Park and south of Griffith Park. You couldn't get much closer and in a nice neighborhood. Jeffrey's house sits off the main drag, and makes you feel secluded but you are really in the center of everything. Atwater Village is a couple minute drive or dollar ride away. It was our favorite place to go for some coffee (Bon Vivant) and tacos/happy hour at Village Tavern. There are a few close libraries, and a post office is near.
We loved our stay at Jeffrey's and will most certainly be back. The location and hospitality were above and beyond 5 stars. Jeffrey was such an amazing host and I really think you should consider yourelf lucky if you get to book here. :)
