We couldn't meet Charlie, his daughter Bunny welcomed us. She was very sweet showing us the flat and explaining details about it. Charlie left 3 pages of notes, explaining details about the neighborhood and the flat, places around like grocery, restaurants, cinema...etc Flat is on the top floor "with a lift ;)", great sunshine in the mornings with a beautiful terrace. We were 2 couples, so it was perfect to have 2 separate bedrooms to feel comfortable. Neighborhood was so lovely, very close to Hyde park for morning runs. Supermarkets in 5-10 mins walking distance. You'll find all the kitchen equipment that you might need, but if you are lazy to cook there are plenty of options to have food around the flat. Tube and bus stations are very close, walking distance. We forgot the adapter to charge our phones. Charlie was so kind proving us one immediately. It was a great stay for us, we definitely recommend Charlie's place.

Un petit havre de paix, cet appartement est joliment décoré, confortable et suffisamment équipé pour un court séjour pour quatre personnes. La salle d'eau est de bonne taille. La terrasse ajoute une perspective très appréciable en saison estivale. Sans vis à vis et située au 5ème étage un peu en retrait de la façade, elle est relativement protégé des bruits de la ville et bénéficie d'une jolie vue sur le beau jardin privatif au pied de l'immeuble et sur l'horizon au sud. Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir quand l'occasion se représentera. Luce.

Charlie's apartment is wonderful and we had a great time there. It's very homely, comfortable (nice duvet, beds, pillows), relatively well-equipped, quiet (except during the summer when the festival is happening in Hyde Park, which we didn't mind at all and quite enjoyed it!) and extremely conveniently located with access to a beautiful, well-kept and calm private garden, where we spent most of our time! The view from the balcony is amazing. The apartment is 7-10mins walking distance to the tube, Whiteley Mall (with M&S, H&M, Zara, Toys R US, etc), delicious bakery and the best dim sum/Chinese restaurant (Royal China) in London, all of these are along Queensway. The apartment (being on the top floor) can be quite hot during the summer (especially during a heatwave) but opening all the windows can let the breeze in. The apartment exceeded our expectations and we would love to stay again next year. Thanks for everything Charlie and Zoe!

This is a wonderful flat in a beautiful part of London. Great location - close to public transit and anything else you could want. Charlie is an excellent host and we look forward to staying here again on a future trip!

In real estate they say location, location, location. And I believe the same can be said for Airbnb. If you also believe this, then Charlie's apartment is at the top of the heap. As well as being in a beautiful block complete with private gardens, it is perfectly located if you want to see all the major attractions that London has to offer. We were able to limit the use of costly public transport by walking to most of the sites we wanted to see. But on the days where that wasn't possible, the apartment is less than 10 minutes walk to two major underground stations, as well as the hop on hop off bus stops. A plethora of great pubs, cafe's, restaurants and supermarkets are also all within a 5 minute walk. Charlie also proved to be the perfect host, replying expediently to all my requests prior to and during our stay. We arrived at the apartment at about 9.30pm but Charlie had made arrangements for us to be met and made comfortable. As has been reported in other reviews, the kitchen was stocked with bread, butter, spreads, tea, coffee, and milk which meant we wouldn't go hungry or thirsty before the shops opened the next day. It was a pleasure staying at Charlie's apartment and if available, we would not hesitate to stay there on our next trip to London.
