The sleeping area with queen size bed and walnut head board can be secluded behind drapes that can be drawn to allow for another guest to enjoy watching TV or spend time at the large, high top table with leather seated chairs and bench at the large picture window. WiFi and Netflix are free.
Originally a post and beam structure moved from an island in Lake Sunapee during the early 1900s, The Island House is now a part of a larger, unique dwelling that is also the residence of Bill Wightman and the office of Wightsteeple Productions, a performing arts production company.

The Island House is a Non-Smoking space and it's expected that all guests will treat the Island House with respect and care, leaving it clean and orderly as found. Consideration of volume with respect to lateness of the hour is also expected.

Bill Wightman is a musician, producer, and educator living in Sunapee, NH. He is a pianist and vocalist, performing all genres music including jazz, pop, rock, and classical. Working as a soloist and with a variety of side musicians, he plays throughout New England and New York. He is the producer of an on-going popular jazz performance series, JOSA (Jazz On a Sunday Afternoon), now in it’s 25th year. He also currently teaches music and chairs the Arts Department at Proctor Academy, a small private high school in Andover, NH. He enjoys carpentry and gardening and enjoys summers working at his house in Sunapee and boating on Lake Sunapee. Good music, food, and friends are the essence of a fulfilling life!
