Thanks for your feedback Yoni and as per our earlier conversation (prior to your arrival at JJ Cottage), I was unaware of the change in the security deposit guidelines as posted by Airbnb. Prior to October 2016, all security deposits were indeed handled offsite and I've hosted numerous guests prior to your arrival and all of them have paid the security deposits in cash to me upon check in. We have taken note of this and will ensure the necessary is done for security deposits for future bookings which will be administered via Airbnb. As for the amenities, I am surprised that you did not go through the list of amenities provided for by JJ Cottage as we have been very transparent on what is included at our Homestay and towels are DEFINETLY not listed in the list of amenities. It did not help much either as when you arrived after 6pm and sent a text message = Please provide us 7 towels ASAP, which was very short notice and Rude. In the past, we have had various requests from our guests who have requested items such as additional mattresses, pillows, drinking water, printed out maps for Ipoh town, guide on places to eat etc which we have provided at no extra cost as these requests were made to us much earlier prior to check in date. We try our best to ensure our guests have a comfortable stay with us and try to help out as much as possible. Please do NOT compare JJ cottage with other homestays, as all homestays are definetly different from one another and that is why it is very important to read through what is listed as provided as amenities and what is not. As for cooking facilities, we have provided items / cutlery such as knife, dinner plates, mugs, a 2 burner cooking hob, forks and spoons, a juicer, a rice cooker, toaster, kettle, non stick pan and cooking ladles which should be sufficient for cooking for a family. Absence of a pot should not be an issue as the cooking pan is big enough for boiling soups or heating up some broth as well. Yoni's negative remark is the first one which we have received so far since operation and as the saying goes Don't Let One Bad Apple Spoil The Whole Bunch, we will take his comments as candidly as possible whilst pointing out that Yoni is definetly a guest whom we will NEVER host again in the future. Not only was he rude and very demanding, but he also left JJ cottage on his checkout date without having the courtesy to call and return the house keys. Instead he just dropped the keys inside the house and left without informing us which was definetly unprofessional and not courteous at all.
