La Grande Cale is a beautiful Scandinavian-inspired ‘A Frame’ home perfectly positioned amongst the natural rainforest of Tamborine Mountain making it a great place to relax and unwind.

Also just a two minute drive is the famous Gallery Walk with over 70 art, craft and designer shops and its very own local brewery serving up craft beers, along with coffee roasters, wineries, ice cream parlours, fudge and chocolate shops, there really is something for everyone.

La Grande Cale is positioned on the Eagle Heights side of Tamborine Mountain making it easily accessible to and from the Pacific Highway with only a short 15 minute drive to Wet & Wild, Dreamworld, White Water World, Movie World and The Outback Spectacular, 1 hour to Brisbane, Byron Bay or Coolangatta and only 30 minutes to the 54 kilometre stretch of the Gold Coast beaches, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Burleigh (URL HIDDEN) Grande Cale is comfortable and tastefully decorated, sitting in tranquil surroundings and backing onto 4 hectares of rainforest with steps leading to a free-flowing creek, it’s the perfect place to get away and relax. For those chilly nights on the mountain we have an open fire indoors or you can warm yourself and toast marshmallows around the fire pit outside in amongst nature.

That it is on a tank so water is to conserved which means no bath even though the beautiful big bath was advertised

We loved the feel of the place. It was cosy, super comfortable beds and a very cool style. The location for a quiet weekend was perfect: rainforest corridor behind, beautiful botanical gardens just around the corner and not too far out of town.

This beautiful a-frame was well equipped for a friends weekend away. The house was homely and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, lovely fire and plenty of books, DVDs and games for a night in. A perfect location to base oneself to explore the Tamborine area and it's vineyards. As pointed out by a previous reviewer , this is real estate organised and therefore lacks some of those little extras found in other homes such as fresh milk and bread. Be sure to bring your own supplies. There is however an honesty wine rack which is a lovely touch.

A nice house in a beautiful setting. None of the nice little extras you get from a private rental (it's through a real estate), but still a good stay.

Was a great spot to stay at for our friends wedding. Loved waking up to the sounds of the rainforest!
