A sunny studio apartment is attached to our home, with full kitchen, private entrance, and private bath. It has two twin beds, or a king bed on request. A washer, dryer, and sauna are available at no charge.
We have extensive gardens on the grounds. Guests are invited to wander through them, and, in season, enjoy some of the harvest.
We're renting a studio apartment that has a kitchen and twin beds. (The twins can be made up as a king-sized bed if you give us advance notice.)
The kitchen has a fridge, range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and tea-making equipment. It is fully equipped for cooking and serving, but if we've forgotten anything, just ask.
Our other listing, "Apartment in Vermont Countryside," at a slightly higher price, is the same studio plus an additional, separate single bedroom, balcony, and easy access to a sauna in colder weather.
Zugang für Gäste
The studio is self-contained. With your own entrance, you can have all the privacy you want. Or not. We're usually home and enjoy visitors. You also have access to a laundry room with washer and dryer.
A barbecue and charcoal is available in summer. You're welcome to use the laundry and the sauna, both easily accessed in the main house.
Cell service is miserable. If you want to use the house phone, just ask. No charge to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.

Breakfast is "do it yourself." There will be a few things in your kitchen to help you start the day including coffee, tea, juice, milk, cereal, maple syrup or honey, and bread or English Muffins with butter and jam.
There's a TV without cable that has a DVD player, Netflix, and other Apple TV channels. Better than TV, there are some good books, a cd player/radio with a few cds, and fast wifi.
There's an excellent country store just two miles down the road; on the village Common, there is an upscale country restaurant. There is a wide choice of restaurants in Hanover, Lebanon, and South Royalton, all 20-25 minutes away.
We'd like you to treat this as your own place -- if you're a good housekeeper at home! When you use the kitchen, please wash up afterwards. No smoking indoors, and no butts outdoors, please.
We are an older but adventurous couple who love travel. We are bicyclists and have cycle-toured in the last ten years in Mexico, Cuba, Canada, South Africa, and New Zealand. Barbara is an avid gardener and Wally helps, sometimes reluctantly. We enjoy reading, music, walking, swimming, sailing, and our dogs.
