My first impression reading this review, it was that you wrote it for another house, as the first day of your arrival to our house you wrote me that you like it. I also contacted you the next days asking you if you are enjoying your stay and if you need something and you didn't mention any dissapontment.
I am sorry that I was informed about your dissapointments after your departure, as all your issues could have been easily handled by our housekeeper and not you. In order to provide you an earlier check in time as you asked, our housekeeper cleaned the house just before your arrival, so the brooms, mops and dust pans had to stay in the back corner of the patio in order to dry. I could ask her to come later and to put them inside or to move the office chair next to the small desk for the laptop (you see our guests are not only couples with a baby as you, but also writers, painters, bussinessmen etc).
Probably you considered as trash, the two new tin cans in the planters under the trees of the house. We use them to cultivate seeds of specific plants of the island as cherry tomatoes and there were only 2 left as many of our guests take them to their countries with our permission. I understand that this is not what you will see in a hotel. But this is our home, and it is possible to find in the drawers that are not empty for use of our guests, a hairbrush, our binoculars, our books or the virgin olive oil of our family's trees.
Anyway,I am sorry that our house didn't meet your expectations and thank you for your time to write your comments. We have already take them under consideration, but permit me to give you an advise: please talk. When you are facing a problem during your stay in any place, please talk about it with the persons that they are responsible for it. Give them the pleasure to make your stay more comfortable, give the opportunity to yourself to enjoy more and make your vacation, your life, happier.
