565 sq foot bungalow can sleep up to 5, but spacious and lovely for a couple. Very comfortable queen bed upstairs, with spiral stairs leading to a rooftop deck. Full kitchen, tiled bath with shower, hot tub and fire pit available for comfort outside.
The bungalow is separate from the main house, and has a rustic feel, but is very comfortable. The queen bed upstairs and both twins downstairs have wonderful memory-foam mattresses. There is a full kitchen with an under counter fridge, gas range, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and all the dishes and pots and pans you need. New geothermal system provides heat and air conditioning, and solar panels on the roof of the main home help make this a green property. We recycle everything as well. Guests have full access to 20 acres, including an enclosed garden with lots of sitting areas, a great fire pit for campfires, a hot tub on the main house deck, a weber gas grill on the main house deck, and pasture leading up to the neighbor's horses.

Guests have the entire bungalow which is separate from the main house. Access is via a fairly steep gravel driveway off of a primitive gravel road. In the winter 4WD or AWD is required to get to the house if there is fresh snow.
There is a washer and dryer in the main house that can be made available by arrangement.
We are rural and hence our communications are rather primitive compared with many more populated areas. We have Wi-Fi, but it is via satellite and isn't always very vast or reliable. (Fast internet is available at several places 6.5 miles away in Colville, including the Public Library.) Our cell service is spotty (texting usually works,) but I do maintain a land line for that reason that can always be used for emergencies. We have DISH network so the TV is good.

I work full time, but I am usually available in the evenings, on weekends, or early mornings for a chat. I have put together an information packet with local restaurants and things to do, and I love helping people learn more about our small community. I am available by text during the day when I'm at work in case a guest needs to contact me.
Booking does not include breakfast, but welcome cookies and fresh ground locally roasted coffee are provided.

Colville is a small town and my place is 6.5 miles northeast of it. The drive to Colville takes only 10 minutes, but the feel of the place is decidedly rural. There is plenty of wildlife to observe - deer, wild turkey, quail, raptors, and sometimes elk. We often hear coyotes at night. I have two cats, Wild and Bandit, who both love to be petted (not allowed in the bungalow.)
We are in a fire-prone area because our climate is dry in the summer, so it is necessary to be very careful with fire. Sometimes campfires are not permitted.
I treat guests as extended family and allow access to everything except for my own house, which is nearby. I expect guests to be courteous and to take care not to damage things in the bungalow. I sometimes allow pets if they are well behaved and will not terrorize my cat. There is no smoking in the bungalow or on the deck, but guests may smoke outside.
