Originally from Ohio, I met my husband in 1991 when he was in the Navy and married less than 4 months later. Eight years later, we embarked on parenthood and subsequently grew to a family of six. As nurse practitioners, we have been "caring for" people for over 50 combined years! Running a B&B shares many similarities to being nurses. We have been part-time residents on Smith Island for over 15 years! Our family owns the Smith Island Inn which I run with my four children during the summer months with my husband coming weekends whenever possible. Our wonderful friends serve as our innkeepers in our absence! We are an energetic family who have come to love Smith Island and keep busy with volleyball, boating, swimming, camping, and whatever comes our way!
