This is the cutest little cabin. My boyfriend and I adored staying here. The bed was comfortable, the outhouse was very clean, and the hot water in the shower was fantastic. We went out on the dock everyday and was able to watch the sunset. We could hear nothing but sounds of nature. The town was very cute too. We went out to get lunch and ended up going to a few tag sales as well as a huge tent sale. I cannot recommend this host and cabin enough. This trip was perfect.

There aren't really adequate words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at this lakeside oasis. The cabin itself was lovely and in exceptional condition. My boyfriend and I both had an absolutely amazing time sitting on the boat launch, listening to the moose sounds and basking in the glory of nature for a few days. We took advantage of the canoe and grilled out almost every night. It was the PERFECT escape from our busy lives and we left feeling completely rested & rejuvenated. While we wished we could've stayed there for the rest of our lives, we'll remember the experience for a long time to come. Thank you so much for sharing your exceptional place with us!

Serene, quiet getaway. Amazing to get away from the phone and the world for a few days. Beautiful lake and rustic cabin. Loved the separate shower setup and deck area. We would go back in a heartbeat! William was amazing with communication. So many places to explore within 30 minutes; 4,000 foot hikes, waterfalls, gigantic dam, beautiful man made lake, plenty of more gentle hikes too. One night we were fortunate to spot three different moose within ten minutes!

Bill and Steph's cabin was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend retreat. It has everything you need and nothing you don't. The location is very private and we felt like we were the only ones on the pond. We enjoyed a long day hike over the Bigelow Range, canoeing, swimming, and relaxing on the dock while listening to the loons. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Well, we can't say enough about the beautiful cabin and the amazing hosts. This place is even better than the description. Bill and Steph are very humble and sweet people. Our stay was amazing...we would and hope to go back to the cabin in the future. Bill was so sweet and was going to allow us to cancel up until the day before because he told us the weather would be not so great. That was truly a very thoughtful accommodation that they suggested. We're so happy we declined the sweet offer because we had the best time ever, even when the weather decided to be not so great. Please check this place out...you won't regret it!

We just arrived home from a 3night getaway at Bill and Stephs camp. What a quiet, private camp on a pristine lake. We live in the country- but the complete lack of urban noise here was unbelievable (I think we heard 2 plans the entire time- and that was it!) The camp was as described and the views were gorgeous. We stayed the last weekend of the season and the fall colors were almost peak. We had One evening of rain, but the camp has a a deck with a roof, so we could still BBQ and have cocktails outside listening To loons and coyotes. Bill met us at the end of the road into the camp (20 mins off Long Falls Dam Road) and drove us in, once there he showed us around and how to use the propane lights and hot water heater. There is no cell phone service at the camp and it is pretty spotty once outside North New Portland. There is a canoe available that we used every morning and evening. Lots of wildlife and even a beaver that swam past the dock each day. There's lots of hiking (we recommend hiking into flagstaff lake With a lunch, where there's a beach (our dog was out of her mind)). I think the only suggestion I would have for late season visitors would be to bring a lantern. We like to read at night and thought we could use a lamp next to the couch. We hope to come back next year.
