This is a grand Georgian family home with a landscaped garden, beautifully designed in a mix of modern and traditional styles. It is fantastically placed for transport; 5 minutes walk to Kennington Station and the Northern Line.

Set back behind a private gate this substantial Georgian townhouse is easily missed. Upon entering the house, you will find a sitting room, set away form the main reception rooms, to the immediate right with beautifully restored details dating back to 1740. A wonderful Georgian fireplace and with the original egg and dart coving it is decorated with luxurious drapes over dual aspect windows to the private front and rear gardens. The room is furnished with bookcases, contemporary mirror coffee tables and armchairs as well as large sofa which is also a sofa bed so the sitting can become a quite Bedroom 7 with close access to the shower room. There is a central staircase which leads down to study with antique desk or up to the sleeping accomodation. Across the entrance hall and to the left of the door is an elegant dedicated dining room with circular dining table above which hangs a eye catching crystal chandelier. As you descend the first flight of stairs you will enter the new extended part of the property and the simply magnificent kitchen. Bathed in light and finished in a modern and style, this kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. The central marble island features a breakfast bar and built in sink. The huge 7-ring gas hob also has a hot plate and there are two electric ovens. With every amenity you could need including an American-style fridge, this is truly a culinary dream. Up a few steps and adjoining the kitchen is a large sitting room, flooded with sunlight and with a view of the garden. This is a lovely room with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the wide-screen SMART TV and entertainment system. This whole space including the kitchen has the luxury of under-floor heating. There are an incredible seven sets of French doors from the kitchen suite to access the landscaped garden.

The amazing and secluded rear garden is massive for Central London and includes a lawn, mature flower beds, a wonderful collection of garden ceramics, a path covered with a wisteria arbour, outdoor dining terrace off the kitchen suite and a sun terrace with loungers and sofas. All catching the sun from breakfast to late afternoon and you can hear Big Ben!

From the kitchen, a staircase leads to the lower level of the house which contains a double bedroom with simply a large King-sized bed and minimalistic decoration. This bed can also be used as a twin instead. Despite being on the lower level there is plenty of light coming through the windows and full ceiling height. The convenient bathroom is very well finished with a walk-in shower and neutral-sand tiled finish. Adjacent to this is the large utility room which doubles as a second kitchen. As though the stunning main kitchen wasn’t enough, this extra room is also kitted with a dishwasher, sink, cooker as well as a washer/dryer and other essential facilities.

Down another flight of stairs will take you to the large main living and dining area. This space is dominated by the sitting space, with its several sofas, matching armchairs and a large SMART TV, the hub of the hob and the ultimate place to relax and enjoy a film all together. It also has underfloor heating for further luxury. There is a large dining table at one end with bold orange chairs that make a statement and set off beautifully against the antique wood and warm tones of the room. There is also a conveniently located WC with wash basin on this floor.

On the half landing on the original staircase of this house there is the first double bedroom and bathroom next door. The bathroom is tastefully finished with marble tiles and has a brand new bath and rainforest shower head above. The bedroom, which is minimally styled with a king sized double bed and antique dresser. This room is at the back of the house and benefits from peace and quiet as well as a view of the leafy garden. Up some more stairs, on the first floor is a dressing room and another bathroom which serves as the en-suite to the master. The first floor front bedroom has an original fireplace and is dual aspect looking over the front and rear gardens with 4 large windows with working shutters and stunning linen drapes. It has a large wardrobe, antique set of drawers and a huge contemporary Liberty light fitting with a luxury king size bed which can also be twin slim single beds instead. It is next to the master bathroom. Across the hall, the grandeur and metallic colour scheme of the en-suite bathroom makes it fit for a King. With marble everywhere you look and fitted with a freestanding iron bath and huge walk-in shower as well as his and hers basins inset in a mirrored vanity unit this is the height of luxury.

Descend to the master bedroom via a separate door the other side of the bathroom. The proportions of this room are comparable to those of a palace, even the 6ft super king sized bed is dwarfed in this room, the imposing large regal drapes hanging behind it and a chandelier hangs from the vaulted ceiling. There are plush dusty rose and pink sofas and huge mirror hanging above a feature fireplace creating depth and even more light in the room in addition to the enormous sash windows.

At the very top of the house and on the third floor there are a further two bedrooms, one has a 6ft super king-sized bed whilst the other has twin beds which may be configured into a superking size.
