We stayed at Corrin's for Labor Day weekend as the Oak Tree Half Marathon start line was just down the street. The suite was lovely and more than enough space for the two of us (and the bathroom is bigger than my NYC bedroom!). We were shown wonderful hospitality during our stay (we even left with a bunch of hot peppers from the garden) - highly recommend!
This is truly a great place to stay even if there wasn't any bonus house to tour. But the Hartford House is a regal walk back in time. A memory to take with one for a lifetime. Geneseo is also a very sweet little town full of much to see and taste. Would heartily recommend the European Cafe. The food and the servers could not be finer.
Corrin and his girlfriend were friendly and helpful. The apartment was lovely, comfortable and clean and the snacks helped feed weary teens after a long drive. Would be happy and hope to stay again. PS. The morning dip helped get us moving though I would have liked to have had longer to enjoy the country grounds.
We loved our stay here. Corrin was super easygoing ywhen our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive till 1:30am. The space was beautiful. I was surprised to come home after a day out and find the beds neatly made and new towels in the bathroom. I would definitely recommend. If you are a light sleeper you might want to know that there is a mighty chorus of frogs at night. There are so many that it turned to white noise for us so it was not problem but it's good to know.
The Garden Suite is a real gem! The four distinct rooms are more spacious than they appear in photos, and the place has a casual elegance with its high ceilings, ample windows, and antique furnishings. The best thing, however, is the quiet peacefulness and privacy of the suite. The rear windows look over an expansive valley with amazing sunsets. The side of the building overlooks a walled English garden, and the front overlooks the pool surrounded by trees and bushes. We had exclusive access the pool and garden, and enjoyed a swim in the morning and a glass of wine in the lounge chairs in the evening. Corrin and Kim were great and available when needed, but gave us complete privacy otherwise. The historic home (of which the Garden suite is a wing) is magnificent and worth a visit in its own right. We will fondly remember our stay and rave about it to friends for some time to come.
Corrin's place was so cozy and adorable! The road leading up to the home is surrounded by woods and we saw so many deers driving in and out. The view from the bedrooms of the wide open green space was beautiful. The place itself was adorably furnished and he stocked it with lots of snacks, breakfast goodies, coffee, teas and everything you would need during a weekend getaway! The grounds surrounding the garden suite was serene and quiet. It was so quiet and peaceful we felt bad coming in late at night (we were there for a wedding). We would definitely stay here again!
