Feel free to write me a quick note to check if the place is available or if you have any questions prior to booking.
This beautiful two bedroom/one bath apartment is located in the Castro/Duboce Triangle and in walking distance to Upper and Lower Haight, NOPA, and the Mission. Lot's of transportation, corner stores, grocery stores, and fantastic restaurants are in walking distance. If you come with car, street parking is quite easy here but it is restricted for two hours. There is paid parking nearby ($30/day) and I know of a street where you can park your car for a week at a time for free.
You will have a private bedroom (queen sized bed, TV, closet, dresser, love seat) with shared bath (bathtub/shower and plenty of space for your toiletries). If you want to cook you can do so in the big, fully equipped kitchen. You also have full access to the living room and dining room.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe with cute little streets and beautiful houses. But if you are in the mood for entertainment you only need to walk a few block to find great places to eat and drink and people watch. There are three bus lines right at the corner that will take you all over the city including Golden Gate Park, Haight Ashbury, Twin Peaks, and to the ocean. The Muni streetcar is only 3 blocks from the house and you can use it to quickly get downtown and all the way to Fisherman's Wharf.
I've been living in this apartment for many years and love it as I am sure you will love staying here.
I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories and look forward to having you visit.
Transportation options from SFO airport:
1. Taxi - A cab ride is about $45-50 including tip and takes about 25 minutes depending on traffic.
2. Airport Shuttle - this will cost $17 for the first person and $12 for each additional traveler. Don't forget to add tip for the driver.
3. Public Transportation - BART and Muni - Cost: $10.25 per person and it takes about one hour.
Of course the most convenient option is taking a cab. But if you want to save some money I would suggest the shuttle. But remember, you might have to wait a bit for the van to fill up and since it is a shared ride there may be several stops on the way to unload other passengers. To book it in advance (which is recommended) go here: (website hidden). If you want to take public transportation, here is the route: (website hidden)
I do ask that the room and common areas are treated with respect and left as they are found. The building is very quiet after hours so please be respectful and quiet when coming in late. No smoking in the apartment, on the steps, or near the house.
I am lucky to say that I live and work in this beautiful city by the Bay. I'm calling San Francisco my home for over 16 years now and absolutely love it here. I stay busy with regular exercise, plenty of face time with my friends, and walks with my pup Milo. This city has amazing things to offer and it never gets boring to explore.
I'm excited to have you visit and stay with me. I am directionally challenged but with the help of a map (I have plenty of those) I can certainly share my knowledge of this city and get you to where you want to go.
