Haye Farm is something special. A farm designed and run on natural systems with permaculture and regenerative practises at its heart: - We keep rare breed cattle and sheep, have orchards of apple, pear, plum and cherry and two coarse fishing lakes (open to the public).
Farm produce is often available - such as apples (and apple juice), pears, plums, cherries, eggs and occasionally vegetables.
If you want to know more about the farm do take a look at the website
The historic Georgian town of Bewdley is just one mile away and offers most amenities

Zugang für Gäste
Guests have sole use of the sleeping barn, as well as the barbecue area, lawn and covered decking area. Use of the lakes for coarse fishing requires an additional fee.

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
This really is a perfect place to escape, so we hope you will appreciate being able to escape persistent phone calls. Mobile phones do work but the quality of reception varies between networks, locations, times, and depending on the weather, so if you really want to you can get in touch with other people you can, and without going far (reception is usually fine on the decking) - but you can also, honestly, tell them that there isn't reception in the place where you are staying.

In terms of facilities, you'll see that we don't provide full bedding, etc. - this is set up as a bunkhouse, so although the accommodation comes with pillow, pillow case and an under sheet, unless otherwise arranged guests are expected to bring their own sleeping bag/duvet. However duvets are available for hire at £5 per person for up to a week.

Also, please bear in mind that the washing machine and dryer which are in the kitchen require £1 coins for operation, and if you intend to make use of the fishing lakes, the charge for that is £7 per day.

If we have left any unanswered questions, feel free to send a message and we will respond as soon as we can. Thank you!

The farm is on the edge of the Wyre Forest, according to Wikipedia a large, semi-natural (partially unmanaged) woodland and forest measuring 26.34 square kilometres (10.17 sq mi) which straddles the borders of Worcestershire and Shropshire'.

The forest is a great places for walks, cycling, and nature watching as well as various other activities, including 'Go Ape' forest adventure, for adults as well as children (search the web for more info (hint: also Wyre Forest Visitor Centre); links aren't allowed here!)

The local town (Bewdley) is well served with shops, and a good variety of places to eat. The tourist information site provides more information including about museums and houses - and gardens and arboretums; the town itself is Georgian and there is much of historic interest in the area.

The Severn Valley Railway (Heritage Line) runs from Kidderminster, through Bewdley and on via Arley, Highley, and Hampton Loade, to Bridgenorth, thus offering plenty of opportunities for a varied day out by train (again just take a look around the web for more information about these places).

West Midland Safari Park, a few miles away, provides another family day out - and/or if you want to see the area by foot there is the Worcestershire Way and the Severn Way (with much of historic interest). Cyclists can easily access the Mercian Way.

That should be enough to get going...

My life revolves around living and working at Haye Farm. I was born and have lived on the farm pretty much all my life. Breeding and caring for livestock is special for me (and Jai the sheepdog). We also have orchards and fishing lakes all set amidst beautiful rolling countryside. It always gives me pleasure to share even a small part of this special place with guests. I traveled quite extensively through Asia, Africa and the Middle East some years ago but have little opportunity at present. I look forward to travelling more again in the future probably in the UK but New Zealand still beckons. I follow numerous sports, enjoy socializing with friends and like a competitive game of Bridge.

Während deines Aufenthaltes
This is a working farm and we live in the farmhouse on the other side of the yard - so there is often, though not always, someone around to help with queries. However it may take us up to a day to respond to messages via the internet prior to your visit, since the farm keeps us busy and mobile reception is intermittent here.

Whilst you are here, the situation is similar; there is usually though not always, someone 'at home' somewhere on the farm - who can help you with any queries - but during daytime hours they may not be obvious; once we have settled you in we are generally quite 'hands off' hosts who will leave you to your own devices.
