This 2 bed mews house is set in a quiet part of Montpellier; a short walk from the shops and café area, Cheltenham centre and the various festivals held in Imperial Gardens throughout the year. Also well placed for Cheltenham Racecourse.

The front door opens into a spacious living room with comfortable sofa and has Sky television and a wireless router for free internet connectivity 24/7.

Along the hallway beyond the living room is a family bathroom, with a shower head attachment on the taps.

The kitchen diner, at the far end of the hallway, is equipped with a fridge freezer, gas hob, electric oven, washer dryer, microwave oven, kettle, toaster plus crockery and cutlery. There is a dining table with seating for up to 6.

The two double bedrooms are on the floor below, together with a shower room and another living area where we can sleep an extra two guests on a day bed and trundle bed. (Please note, bedroom one is accessed through this living room.)

The apartment benefits from central heating. Linen and towels are provided.

Children are welcome, although some of the furnishings may not be ideal for toddlers.

There is a small decked area to the front of the property and is parking in the lane to the front, but as it is street parking no guarantees can be made about availability at any specific time.

Guests have sole access to the house for the duration of their stay.

THE LOCAL AREA:

The boutique and café heart of Montpellier and Montpellier Gardens are a short walk away from the house. The area is known for its bars, cafés, restaurants and specialist, independent shops.

During the eighteenth century Cheltenham became one of the most fashionable health resorts in the country after King George III visited the town to treat his infirmities; establishing Cheltenham as a spa town. Regency town houses line the historic Promenade, squares and terraces and visitors are still able to sample the spa waters at the Pittville Pump Room; a short distance from the town centre.

Arch Mews is only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Cheltenham; with its fine regency terraces, stylish shops, Neptune Fountain and the annual Christmas Market. The town offers good shopping, great restaurants, cultural activities, fantastic nightlife and three theatres: the Everyman, the Playhouse and the Bacon.

Similarly nearby are the Imperial Gardens, the Town Hall and Montpellier Gardens. These locations form the central hub for the annual Cheltenham Festivals of Jazz, Science, Music, Food & Drink and Literature.

Cheltenham Racecourse is a bus or taxi ride away and is considered a world-class venue, hosting regular fixtures throughout the year, including The Gold Cup National Hunt Festival in March. ‘The Centaur’ is also at the racecourse and is a large venue for conferences, events, concerts and exhibitions.

All this makes Cheltenham the ideal location for an entertaining city break all year round.

FURTHER AFIELD:

As the Western Gateway to the Cotswolds, Cheltenham is an ideal base for touring the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Stratford upon Avon, Bristol and Bath.

The town is well served by excellent transport links via motorway, airports and public transport; all of which make for an easy journey to the many, varied tourist destinations located within a wide radius.

The area is well known for gentle hillsides (‘wolds’), outstanding countryside with river valleys, water meadows and beech woods, sleepy ancient limestone villages, historic market towns and for being ‘typically English’.

Throughout the area, the honey-coloured Cotswolds limestone features in buildings and stone walls acting as a common thread in seamlessly blending the historic towns and villages with their surrounding landscape. Offering breathtaking scenery ideal for keen walkers, the Cotswolds offers 3000 miles of public footpaths and offers one of the best kept ‘rights of way’ networks in the country.

The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty also contains a number of national and regional walking routes such as 'The Cotswolds Way Trail', 'Macmillan Way', 'Oxfordshire Way' and 'Shakespeare's Way'. Circular routes with self-guided leaflets are also plentiful.

The city of Gloucester is a short drive away, boasting a fine cathedral – where parts of the Harry Potter movies were filmed - and the recently regenerated Gloucester Docks area.
