Stay in a pristine jungle retreat, complete with waterfall and river access, in the heart of the Costa Rican mountains. This eco-friendly, off-grid property is close to many sites, including Chirripo National Park, Cloud Bridge, Agua Thermal, Secret Gardens, chocolate and cheese makers, an organic coffee farm, and local permaculture farms. Your private campsite comes with your own compost toilet (emptied daily by your host), shady trees, and cleared and level ground that is ready for your tent or hammock. The river and waterfall are an easy stroll away. Clean yourself by soaking in the natural jacuzzi of our river—soap, shampoo, and chemical free. There is no electricity or running water on the property, perfect for experiencing the jungle and the rhythm of sun and stars naturally.
In addition, included in your stay is a homemade, freshly prepared, local, organic, vegetarian breakfast. You may also order healthy lunch/dinner meals or smoothies from your host, and restaurants and a convenience store are within walking distance.

Guests have 24/7 access to the the front gate and parking inside the entrance, just a few minutes’ walk from the campsite. The river and waterfall may be accessed at any time, and your host is happy to accompany you the first time to show you the best spots.
Guests do not have access to the main house or kitchen, although kitchen access may be negotiated for a small fee. There is no running water for a bathroom or shower, but you have your own compost toilet.

Your host lives on the premises in the main house, and she is available to chat, give local recommendations, or assist in arrangements for local attractions. Your desire for privacy is of course respected.

The property is off-grid, meaning there is no electricity and no running water for a toilet or shower. Upon booking, you will receive a guidebook with details on using a compost toilet, items to bring (like your own light… we like Luci lamps!), and other useful insights. Bathing / rinsing in the river is a special experience, although please do not use any soaps, as it adds unnecessary residue to our clear waters.
This is a primitive campsite, so please be sure to “leave no trace” and pack out whatever you pack in. Please do not litter.
