I just had an absolutely perfect time during my stay here. Tammy and Phil were gracious hosts and did everything possible to make me feel at home. I could tell they've perfected the hospitality service. They have three rooms on the second floor of their beautiful home and I reserved the smallest room (which was still more than spacious for me: it has a queen bed, a fridge, a keurig coffee machine, a bookshelf, a closet, bathroom linen, decent lighting, and some additional seating space).
I was coming over to Dartmouth for an interview and needed a place to crash for a night. As soon as I came in, Tammy took me up to the room and gave me a run down of everything that's available. I was a needy guest and needed a plate to eat my dinner, a microwave to heat my food, and an iron to press my clothes. She provided me with all the amenities I needed and even made me a dessert. It was delicious!! Her husband Phil had even gone to the local train station to pick up another gentleman who had rented another bedroom in their house, as taxi service wasn't available at that time. Service was above and beyond!
The bed was clean and comfortable and I slept peacefully. The room did get a little warm at night due to the heater and I had to leave my bedroom door open for a little while to let in the cool air from the hallway. The next morning, Tammy made me breakfast as per the time I had to leave: a freshly-baked warm chocolate croissant, some fruit and orange juice. The fridge was already stocked with water, cream, a little yogurt snack and a banana. I could make my own coffee in the morning as I was getting ready. The bathroom was spotless and I don't have any major comments about it except that it doesn't have a lock, but that wasn't a big deal for me.
As I was leaving, she wished me good luck for my interview. I'd recommend their place to anyone passing by this area.
PS - they have a dog at home which is housed on the ground floor in the family area. It doesn't come up to the upstairs area where guests reside, nor does it bark. But I just wanted to point it out in case anyone is allergic.
