LIVING IN HANDSCHUHSHEIM
Handschuhsheim is a very old part of Heidelberg (this year marks its 1250 anniversary). I definately recommend taking a walk through the narrow, adorable streets. If you’re in the mood for nature, you can even walk up Heiligenberg (follow Kriegsstraße, in the direction of the Friedenskriche, the church – then make a left, along Mühlstraße, and keep walking up the hill – along Waldweg).
Right around the corner is a lovely bakery, Cafe Frisch. They have tasty breads, cakes etc. If you walk 50m further there is a supermarket (Penny) – very inexpensive with great opening hours (8am – 10pm). There is also a drug store (Rossmann) right at Hans-Thoma-Platz. If you’re looking for specific food, you can find a couple of supermarkets and drug stores at Fritz-Frey-Str. 21. It’s just one train stop away. I think walking should take you about 20min (maybe less).
We are very lucky that the train station Hans-Thoma-Platz is literally right around the corner. If you want to go to Bismarckplatz/Uni you can either take the train 5, 21, 23. If you want to go to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) you can take train 24.

Please do not smoke in our apartment. Pets are not allowed as well.
I am a psychology student, currently living in Heidelberg/ Germany. I love to visit new places, meet people and analyze their childhood memories (just kidding). Besides I'm passionate about chocolate, baking and music.
I am looking forward meeting the Airbnb community!
