The studio is at the back of a 1904 Cape Cod beach house on the best walk street in Venice steps to the beach. The studio's separate entrance opens to a large porch inside a gated garden area. There is parking behind the house outside the garden area. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and everything needed for cooking and eating. There is a large bathroom and closet, two dressers and plenty of shelves. Studio is perfect for a couple, but can accommodate a third adult or child on the pull out sofa bed. However, when sofa bed is used, there is no other sitting area except the dining table and chairs. There is Wifi and cable TV with Netflix included.
Guests can use the porch outside the studio, as well as the backyard garden area shared with the hosts. And of course, the huge and wonderful Venice Beach is our best backyard.
We live in the front house and will be available in person or by cell, text or email to provide whatever information or assistance is needed.
The studio is in the heart of Venice Beach, walking distance to Abbot Kinney Blvd. and Main Street Santa Monica. There are fabulous restaurants, coffee houses and shops all within walking distance. Santa Monica Place mall and Marina Del Rey are a short drive or bike ride away, with movies, shops, and gyms. LAX airport is 20 minutes away.
There is a parking space for the apartment right behind the house, and parking is free on Pacific Avenue from 8 pm to 8 am SHARP. There are pay parking lots within walking distance. There is a bus stop one block away. Bike rentals and city bike share stations are on the Boardwalk close by. The Expo Metro train is 2 miles away and goes to downtown LA and connects with other trains in other directions. The 10 Freeway entrance is 2 miles away.
