Huge private room to share with another roommate, an NYU student. It is a Jamaican neighborhood. Subway 2/5/Q/B are close by. Walk 4min to 2/5 trains and 10 min toB/ Q. B/Q will get you to Union Square and downtown area in 20 min. Park on street

It's a really nice room, Mehrnoush and her roommate is really nice to us, I and my family stayed in there for four night, and it's a really good experience for us to stay in Mehrnoush's room. It's a little bit far away to the Subway Q line, but it's near to take the 2 and 5 line to Manhattan.

Never seen the host, but through email and text communication, she seems to be a nice person. her BF gave me the key, he seems to be nice as well. I personally do not like the neighborhood at all, I felt a bit upset and unsecured when I arrived. maybe because I travelled alone . considering the environment and surroundings, I personally would not recommend this place to female like me traveling alone. could heard noises at 12 pm-1 am , not quite sure whether or not it is due to West Indian Parade activities. many polices patrol; neighborhoods are nice when you asking them direction. it took me an hour and half from JFK to that place, usually line 2 and Q line is available, will usually take your an hour to Manhattan.

Antwort von Mehrnoush:
Lucy was visiting during the West Indian Parade which is the craziest time of year for this neighborhood. As it is stated in the descriptions, it is a Jamaican neighborhood so if you feel unsafe by seeing people of other colors, you might not feel comfortable. However, I have lived in the neighborhood for 2 years and never felt unsafe. Like any big city, you should always be careful of your surroundings. I advise that everyone take the Q line because it is 20 min from Church stop to Union Square. 2 train is local and takes much longer. Also, Lucy visited on a weekend and the weekend trains are not good all over NYC. Many lines are not working and some are under construction.
