We stayed in Luka's home for a week and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for us, plenty of room for our family of five, and the basement was perfect for storing our snow clothes and gear. It was a beautiful walk down to the river, and the kids loved playing in the snow in the fields behind the house. The views are gorgeous!
Luka left plenty of wood, and the large stove in basement and small stove upstairs kept the house cozy and warm. We spent our evenings gathered around the beautiful upstairs wood stove.
Saint-Jean-Port-Joli is a bit far from Quebec City, over an hour, but we appreciated being in an area that didn't feel touristy and it's a beautiful little town. There was a large sledding hill right down the street in front of the Parc des Trois-Berets, where our kids had fun sledding with other children from the area. There was also a trail from the park that followed the river, perfect for snowshoeing and Cross Country skiing. We would also recommend stopping in at La Boulangerie Sibuet for fresh bread and baked goods.
Thank you, Luka!
