The space is a newly renovated private efficiency in the ground level of the house. Its roughly 550 sqft on the opposite wall of our coffee shop, Sólo. Its complete with a Queen Size bed, full bathroom, large shower, kitchenette and pull out couch.

We live in a raised double-shotgun house off of Poland and St. Claude in a very safe and convenient spot in the Upper Ninth Ward. The space you are renting is a newly renovated private efficiency in the ground level of the house. Its roughly 550 sqft on the opposite wall of our coffee shop. Its complete with a Queen size bed, dresser, full bathroom, large shower, kitchenette and a small living space. It was recently meticulously constructed by our friend Jason. He's an amazing builder!
This space is our newest creation. Jason is a pro when it comes to salvaging old wood. We know stories behind each piece of wood trim in this space. Wether it came from the demo of the house across the street or given to us by a friend who is rebuilding a home in the lower 9th ward.
Your space has a comfy temperpedic queen size bed and a pull out couch. There are ceiling fans and functioning windows to keep you nice and cool on warm days and nights. We also have a window ac unit for those steamy summer days and nights. If the weather turns, we have space heaters to keep you warm. If you are a couple this space it is perfect and cozy!
You will have a very large concrete shower with nice water pressure! A brand new toilet and vessel sink a top a reclaimed wood vanity. Towels and toilet paper included.
Your kitchenette has a mini fridge and freezer, a one burner induction stove, a water kettle, some dinnerware for eating in, and a large beautiful old cast iron farm sink that came with the house.
We have tons of free and safe parking on the street right next to the house. Ask us, we may be able to get a rental bike from a neighbor. We are also very close to the bus stop. The neighbors are all extremely tolerant, and friendly, please be the same in return. We understand NOLA is a party city, and if that is what you choose to do with your time, please do, but when you are back at the house please respect our busy early evening/moring lifestyle. Try and cool it at 10p. I wake up at 6a every morning to open our coffee shop downstairs, which opens 7 days a week 8a-3p. Please respect that. We live upstairs and are around a lot since this building is live, work, play for us. My husband, Jesse is a musician and has his practice space in the back of the building…its well sound insulated, but from time to time you might hear his awesome band practicing (not past 10p, of course!).

WE LIVE UPSTAIRS…in our own private dwelling…
Our house is a truly beautiful high-ceilinged-and-hardwood-floored remnant of turn of the century (1912) New Orleans that has been carefully restored, post-Katrina, into what you see today. Even though it's over a hundred years old, we've added some modern trappings. We will be here during your stay to make sure you are comfy and have everything you need. We just bought the house in Aug 2012 and have been renovating it ourselves while living in it, so the process is a slow moving yet gratifying task.

You will be able to find the following conveniences within blocks: vegan food, art galleries, pizza, bbq, bacchanal wine bar/restaurant, casual artisan style restaurants, craft cocktails, killer chinese food at Reds Chinese, seafood, cajun food, po boys, bars, market, co-op, yoga and truly friendly locals are all near by. We also own and operate a specialty coffee shop in the ground level of our building. We are blocks away from the great Mississippi River and the Industrial Canal.

Lauren's place is super cool! We loved the vibe and the decor in the house. It had all of the basics we needed during our stay. We found it to be a nice reprieve from the craziness of the quarter, however it is just a little bit farther from the restaurants and shops in Marigny/Bywater than I would have liked. The cute coffee shop next door made up for it though!

Great spacious studio in the 9th ward with a coffee shop next to it. Check in was super easy. Only has a hot plate for cooking and limited dishes; no oven or microwave.
