Our 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home is the perfect place to enjoy the picturesque & serene views of nature at its best. Snow skiing, hiking, & rafting are just a few of the luxuries you can enjoy throughout the year all just steps away from our home!
Being only 1.5 miles from the doorstep of our home to the ski lodge at Gore Mountain provides ample time to enjoy the winter months for ideal snow skiing, snowmobiling, even tubing at the Ski Bowl. The Gore Mountain Online Ticketing offers discounted ticket prices if you purchase in advance. For those returning to our home throughout the season, frequent skier passes good for Gore, Whiteface/Lake Placid, & Belleayre may also be purchased.
North Creek Rafting Company, an elite whitewater rafting organization, can be seen from our front porch. They offer rafting, camping, even kayaking for multi-day trips throughout the rivers amidst the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Expect to be captivated by the majestic views of the mountains and streams whether you go by water or by foot.
Our home is only 2 blocks from the main drag in North Creek. A 'fill-your-belly' home cooked meal can be found at Marsha's or if you're in a hurry to reach the slopes or rapids, CafĂŠ Sarah is a great start. I'd eat lunch/drinks at the Tannery Pub at the lodge and then have dinner in North Creek at Bar Vino or Lorenzo's inside Copperfield Inn. Finish your night at the local bar, The Barking Spider. Everything is within walking distance of our home. For those who enjoy cooking at home as much as we do, the local grocery store, Tops is right on Main Street as well. There are plenty more places for food/drinks/shopping from North Creek on down to Lake George. Lake George is about a 20-25 min drive but worth the view and activities. If time allows, take a ride on the Saratoga & North Creek Railway and revisit the historical moment when Theodore Roosevelt learned of his accession to presidency right here at the North Creek Railroad Station.
Despite being Tennessee born & bred, I am a worldwide traveler who has been forever awestruck by the beauty of the snowy mountaintops in the Adirondacks. Our home has had a lifetime of memories with friends and family thru the generations. You can just imagine the stories (or lies!) that have been shared around the extra large wooden dining table! Our hope is you and your family and friends can reestablish connections and simply enjoy living in the present with each other.
