Set in the exclusive resort area of Quinta da Marinha, a seafront suburb of Cascais, off the Coast of Lisbon, Casa Portuguesa is equipped to the highest standards of convenience, comfort and luxury. This holiday rental home provides the modern conveniences, in a beautiful landscaped location within walking distance of activities such as sailing, horseback riding, golf, tennis, scuba diving, water sports, hiking, walking, biking and much more! Our guests are within a few minutes drive from Cascais while enjoying the seclusion of Quinta da Marinha and a minute’s walk to the spectacular sea coast.

The Estate
Set in the exclusive golf resort area that is Quinta da Marinha, Casa Portuguesa and Casa dos Navegadores form part of a larger private estate. Guests have access to the serene, peaceful gardens and swimming pool that really make these properties more of an experience than just a place to sleep.

The Apartments
The Casa dos Navegadores and Casa Portuguesa apartments can be used as separate apartments or opened up on to each other with a short corridor separating them to be used as a one or two bedroom apartment, each fully furnished with its own bathroom, kitchen area, living room and fireplace.

The fully-equipped open plan kitchen has a bar with stools that overlook the living area which consists of a two-seater sofa and a one-seater sofa facing the wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully-equipped with tableware/cutlery for six, an electrical oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, an electrical kettle and coffee machine, a juicer and a toaster. The bathroom has a shower and is equipped with a washing machine.

Linen, bath towels and beach towels are provided to our guests. Central heating is available in the winter months as well as a functioning fireplace complete with wood. A hairdryer, tv, dvd and cd player are also available for guest use. Internet and English tv channels are also available. We offer if requested upon booking, a weekly cleaning service of the flat that includes a change of bedsheets and towels at an extra charge. We can arrange additional cleaning on a daily basis (to be paid directly to the cleaning lady) only if requested and confirmed upon booking.

Turzain’s Welcome Basket
On arrival and for your comfort we provide a Welcome Basket that includes a starter pack of groceries: tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, cheese, eggs, bottled water, wine, juice, seasonal fruits, hand soap, a dental kit, toilet paper, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dish washing tablets and clothes washing detergent.

Food and Drink
A 15 minute walk up the road is Casa da Guia with all of its specialty shops, boutiques and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines Japanese, Swedish, Brazilian & typical Portuguese. One of the best bakery/cafés in Cascais is a 20 minute scenic walk away, offering freshly baked breads & pastries and light lunches. The Cascais Marina hosts many restaurants, cafes and bars and is a 45-minute walk away, with several restaurants along the way. A short drive away are an assorted choice of restaurants, from the most typical ‘tasca’ to the most luxurious Michelin star establishments.

Activities (beaches, golf, tennis, cycling, walking)
Leisure beaches, surfing beaches, a health and fitness centre, tennis, golf and sailing facilities are all within walking distance. Also enjoy the purpose-built cycling/walking, and running path, which runs across the road towards either Cascais or Guincho beach. The apartment is located approximately 45 minutes walk from the Marina of Cascais and about 50 minutes walk to the center of town. Two of the most exclusive golf courses (Quinta da Marinha and Oitavos) are within 10 minutes walk from the apartment. The Estoril golf course, Estoril conference center and Estoril Casino are an approximately fifteen minute’s drive by car.

Transportation (buses, bicycles, taxis, train)
The area around the apartment is well served by public transport. Paid bus services are available from just outside the apartment, that take you to the town center or Guincho beach with access also to Cascais Shopping, the best shopping center in the area, where you can find a diverse variety of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and cinemas offering a selection of the latest movies in English. Bicycles are available for free hire down the road from the apartment. Taxis are reasonably priced and arrive within minutes of ordering. The train station to Lisbon city centre is a short bus or taxi ride away from the apartment.

Nearby Facilities
The surrounding area, accessible by car, provides all the modern amenities, offering an international convenience store, a hairdresser, a pharmacy, a petrol station, DVD-rental, cash point machines and boutique shops.
