Weitere wichtige Infos
We are located right across the street from an elementary school and during weekday stays in the morning you may hear children and bell announcements. There's also a church nearby so you will hear the church bells chime from time to time. And we are close to the heart of the city so you will hear typical city noise especially on weekdays but weekends are nice and quiet. The house has two driveways and my neighbor parks his cars in the back.
Please take off your shoes when entering the home. Because of the new dark hardwood floors it helps us to maintain them and to avoid tracking dirt everywhere.
When using the kitchen, please make sure to clean up after yourself and do not leave any food or crumbs lying out so that we prevent any pests from coming in the house.
The kitchen counter tops are custom concrete countertops so they are strong but can stain and chip easily:
Please do not place hot pans on the counter tops. Use a pot holder or cutting board.
Please do not cut on the counters with out a cutting board or plate.
Please wipe off acidic items if they spill on the counter as soon as possible (like vinegar or lemon).
Please double check and lock the front and rear doors at night and close any windows that you have opened. Bedroom windows can be left opened because we have security bars on the windows.
If anything is accidentally broken please tell us. We won't get mad. Just let us know so we can get it fixed.
There are a lot of things that may look tempting to take. We account for everything in the home once you leave so please be respectful. We want all our guests to come back and to feel like this is home.
Please no pets of any kind in the home.
Please no smoking in the home. You may only smoke outside at least 25 ft from the front porch or rear deck of the home in order to comply with California public health safety standards.
And lastly, please try to leave the house as you found it. If you can help tidy up before you leave that really helps us a lot. :)
I am a native Angeleno and a part time Philadelphian. I am a super commuter that works in online education at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. I travel back to the East Coast frequently to spend QT time with my partner and 3-year-old daughter who both live in Philly.
My life's work is as a community-based artist as a theater director and documentary filmmaker. I'm always in search of personal stories from the heart and love to hear everyday people share their stories about who they are and where they come from.
Music is a big part of my life and I play the ukulele and listen to Hawaiian music whenever I'm stuck in L.A. traffic.
I love old homes and have a passion for restoring them. They have amazing history and beautiful character that you can never duplicate or find anywhere else.
While staying in our newly restored Craftsman retreat home, you will experience friendly service and the warmth and openness of an old L.A. home. I hope the creativity and beauty of this home brings calm, creativity, and inspiration.
