Beschreibung

Stylish Buenos Aires apartment in heart of Barrio Norte/Recoleta.
Spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped for a short stay in a charming and vibrant South American city. Floorspace 110m2
6th floor of historic art deco building with 2 elevators

This is a three bedroom apartment with a living room, dining area, large and well-lit kitchen, office/study, and three bathrooms. The apartment is on the sixth floor, serviced by two elevators.
Fully equipped accommodation with washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge, two TVs, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning throughout.

There is an entry phone for the building. You can ring from downstairs using the apartment number (6*A) and the phone is located in the kitchen.

While there is a porter/caretaker, he is not responsible for letting people in and out of the building and does not have access to any of the apartments.

Guests will have access to all rooms.

On arrival you will be given one set of keys for building and apartment access during your stay. If the keys are not returned by checkout date (i.e. they are lost) you will be charged PesosArg$1000 for a replacement set.

Hosts will usually be close through your stay, residing in Buenos Aires but not in the same building.

The neighborhood is lively and very commercial although the street where our building is is quiet at night.
You will be two blocks from Av. Santa Fe and Callao Street, one of the busiest shopping and restaurant areas in the city.

Parking

Since this is a central area, like in any major city, parking is not easy during working hours. There are areas with parking meters where, if you find a spot and are quick enough, you can park your car a few hours at a time for a few pesos (coins needed). In the evenings (after 9 pm and until 8 am) and at weekends (Saturday after 12 and Sunday), you can use these spots without paying. Always make sure the kerb is not painted yellow as parking is not allowed in these areas ever.
There is paid parking on the same block of the apartment (on Riobamba). You can park by the hour (at 10 times the cost of on street parking) or day, week or month (prices negotiable).

Average prices in 2015 in Arg Pesos
Street Parking $4.50 per hour (limited availability)
Garage Parking $35 per hour (plenty of availability)

The hot water and the heating are centrally controlled. There is hot water 24 hours a day. Should the hot water not work, you should advise the care-taker. There is an alternative system in place that can be activated if necessary.

There is a washing machine in the toilet to the side of the kitchen. It is prohibited to hang clothes on the balcony.

There is no caretaker at night, Sundays or Bank Holidays. During weekdays they can be found at the desk downstairs or by ringing the bell at the desk, on the entry phone or from the entry phone in the apartment. The second door downstairs is locked when neither of them is on duty (Monday to Friday from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m.)

The area is generally safe. You should be prudent if returning late at night and you should be careful particularly when opening the door as you should with any apartment building in the city.

When you enter or leave the building, should anyone approach you, or be there, regardless of what they tell you, do not let them in. This is not rude, it is customary prudence in Buenos Aires, understood by everyone.
