The Retro Ranch, a popular home that is an affordable getaway for families, couples, or "blank" getaways, and we welcome our four legged guests as well. Situated in a central location of downtown Rockaway Beach, the house is a cozy place to come back to after exploring the coast. With a great 60's decor & vibe, it is sure to be a place you will come back to.
If you liked the decor of the mid-century, then you will enjoy a stay at the Retro Ranch in the heart of the downtown area of Rockaway Beach.
This little charmer of a beach cabin is just the right place to be when at the beach..a great location, and just the right amount of space. The house has 3 bedrooms (each w/queen), 1 bath, & can sleep up to six. It is perfect for two small families or couples will find it enjoyable as well.
With period lighting fixtures, a built in dining room hutch with games, puzzles, and great décor from that special decade, you will enjoy lingering around the table after a day in town or at the beach. There is a small deck off the dining area that lets in lots of sunlight and has just enough space to enjoy sitting in the sun or doing a little grilling
There is a TV setup with local antennae channels (just like the 60's), as well as a VCR/DVD players and a selection of videos if you feel like settling in during the evenings...if not take a short walk to the downtown area, which is just 2 blocks away with all the shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bank, and post office. The beach?? Well, that is a parking lot away from there, making it an easy 3 blocks to the sand from the house. And a bonus, Wi-Fi is now available at The Ranch.
This one is pet friendly too!!

I am originally from Alaska, where I grew up on an island in SE Alaska, aka the famous Inside Passage where all the cruise ships go...love cruising. That is probably where I got my itch to travel. There are only two ways off an island, boat or plane. Luckily those long dark winters give you lots of time to think of other places to be. So now, I am trying to get to all the ones I can remember, places others have recommended, and have found a few more destinations to add to the list.
I am now an Alaskan transplanted to the beautiful Oregon Coast for the past, wow 20+ years now. It reminds me of home, only with the benefits of cheaper airline tickets, and the ability to get in the car and drive more than 20 miles..on pavement too.
I have lived in Nehalem, Or for the past 20+ years and just love being on the Oregon coast. The Nehalem Bay area & N Oregon coast is an incredible place to live, for us lucky few, and to visit. There is great hiking, fishing, beach combing, restaurants, shopping, and tons more to do here all while having the stunning Pacific Ocean to the west and the Coastal Mnt Range to the east.
Loves to travel for new smells, sounds, food, people, and language. My favorite places include Palm Springs, Barbados, Vegas, and anywhere in France, Greece, or Spain and am adding Portugal (added June '14). Dying to go to Brazil, Maldives, Morocco, Istanbul, Dubai and_________ (fill in the blank).
