Natural light and being surrounded by wooden ceilings and hard wood floors from 1939 gives the feel of hiding away in a tree house in the heart of Downtown East Austin. Walk to the metro rail, Rock Star Bagel or any of the six neighboring bars.
Experience true East Austin living during SXSW. You are literally downtown on E16th Street just east of the highway. A cool eclectic neighborhood mixed with old bungalows and crazy modern homes. We are a ten minute walk to El Chilito and Manor road - a must stop at SX. One mile from Franklin's BBQ. You get the idea.
Walk to shows, coffee shops, restaurants, bars. Easy bus routes. The metro down the street is two stops from the convention center. Always a Cars2go close by. Spacious backyard. Natural light. There is room for parking, but you likely won't need a car.
Original wooden floors. Charming wooden ceiling. Nice colors. Just a great feel that we enjoy every day. We have all of the essentials -- washer dryer, dish washer, dishes, pots, pans, oven, and stove.
No Smoking inside.
Smoking outside is okay
Please treat our home as if it were your own
We are very convenient and downtown, but it is still
our neighborhood. Please be kind and neighborly.
Have fun! It's SXSW. You must walk around to
get coffee at bennu and check out the Wet Whistle
on MLK and Chicon at least once while you are
Photographer, mother and bar owner, thoroughly enjoying all three. I opened Dive Bar and Lounge on 17th and Guadalupe in midtown Austin and we will turn FIVE this SXSW. My heart and soul go to my three children Leo 9, Hayes, 5, and Cricket 3. By trade I am portrait and documentary photographer and work for the local PBS affiliate in Television production.
